I see USC and Oregon as no-hopers

I think Washington with Cyler Miles will be tough.

Beyond those three games, I see six winnable games. Not saying we will/should win five, but four-quarter games IMO.

And saying that, I know we will throw a stinker somewhere in there. It happens.

I see only Orygun as a no-hoper. Sure the USC game is in the Coliseum, but they have been known to lays some eggs there of late (Wazzu) and then they lose to BC? BC ??? WTF? They should never lose to BC (a bunch that UMass played even for a half), even if they were down to 30 schollie players!

UDub looked fairly run-of-the-mill against a bad Illini bunch. Miles had one good pass play and a fumble that was ridickawockel. Not impressed. Both teams were finding WRs wide-open in seams in some poorly schemed zones.

A lousy UT bunch stuffed UCLA and allowed a great finish by the FG/EP holder to beat them. Witht heir talent and UT's lack thereof, UCLA should have won going away with a water boy at QB. I still think Mora remains suspect as a HC.

Not guaranteeing anything but hope and a certain feistiness..

With the effort we saw last night and if they can reduce the turnovers, we could win a few more than we thought. Not against the truly elite teams but we have a fighting chance against the rest if if if they can sustain the intensity.

Hahaha this is certainly a dramatic change from the day after CSU. Nothing like the roller coaster ride of CU emotions. I still think we win 1 more, maybe 2.

Yep. I thought we were a 4-5 win team best case before the season started. Figured a 2 win team after csu and umass. Now up to maybe 3-4 wins. It is like the stock market. We react and over-react. Lol.

We are a 3-4 win team. But the season outlook is always fluid. No one expected UCLA to look so ordinary.

The difference between a good to great team and a mediocre to average team is the star playmaker QB. See Ohio St., UCLA, ASU, etc. A great QB can mask several deficiencies.

UCLA, ASU, USC and AZ all look not as good as expected. Utah looks better. CU...better than last year. I think we could beat any team in the South with the right conditions...home, few turnovers etc. I see AZ as more likely than before, maybe UCLA. Utah...maybe...since we have them here. Still only a 3-4 win team, but looking better.

At the moment, only the ducks play the part. BC boat raced usc on the ground. And BC had their hands full with another team we know of recently, UMASS. usc has the horses, but will be interesting to see what happens with the would be conquerors.

Per the Buffs I am just gonna do the one game at a time thing. Too stressful for my psyche otherwise. Beat the rainbows with their journeyman center (who had left the team 4 weeks ago due to lack of scholarship availability and playing time). Key injury just might help our chances.

We look better than last year? 2 games suggest we suck. 1 suggests improvement, but was still a loss.

Let's let the season play a bit more. The back half of the season looks brutal.

Yes we are better. Last year I doubt the team comes back from a 11 point deficit on the road to win. Last year we didn't see the fight the team had last night. Our OL pass block has improved a bunch. Our WRs overall are better last year. Our secondary is better.

if we don't play well (a good solid win) next week...then it's going to be back to square one of the ongoing debacle....but like others i'm encouraged. Hawaii has been competitive in two Pac games and beat Northern Iowa in Hawaii.

Yeah, but Hawaii at home and on the road are two completely different teams.

I'll also add that the mentality on the bench this year is much better than last year. They believe and care about each other, it wasn't like that last year, but you could start to see it happen.

The flip side is while UMass was ugly, it was an improvement over CSU in my opinion. We then improved quite a bit last night. If we continue to improve, it will be something we haven't experienced under the previous two staffs: marked improvement during a season.

I like it! I'm with you. We beat both Wash and UCLA.

i think we will also beat Oregon State too. Am I kissing something with this one? Not ranked. I see this as a great chance.

If we best hawaii and win all of those, it can come down to the utah game at home to earn a bowl bid. That would make our team pretty fired up for that one.

I was flipping between both of them as my pick. **** it, we're beating both!

You are demonstrating my Kool Aid recipe as comparatively tame. But here's to your optimism.

So, I will offer a bounty if we can beat wash and ucla this year. $250 donation to the construction fund, and 3 cases of premium beer for Utah Sacky gate.

What the hey.... Hope I lose er win

Now that's the spirit! If the season continues to show progress, not even wins but just great improvement like last night, then I'll be really happy. I was looking at joining the buff club. I think it's about time for me to do it!

Excellent idea!

I didn't see their other games, but I don't think anyone expected to see Neuheisel QBing them, either.

I saw both and UCLA has consistently looked pedestrian. Wins are wins, but ASU will beat them comfortably in Tempe on the 25th if UCLA doesn't figure things out.

We saw the effort. If they can keep that kind of effort going the rest of the season, they we will have a chance in a lot of games. Proud to see the kids play hard.
