Hawaii

After a 2nd half meltdown against CSWHo the team responded very well at UMass in a hostile environment :)lol:). Then last night when it looked like it would be blowout city we made a game of it and it ended up being very respectable.

Now the big question is can we carry this forward into a game we should certainly win. A close, ugly win or certainly a loss would be a setback.

If we put together 3 quarters of PAC-12 caliber play we've seen glimpses of we'll be fine. If we see remnants of the 4th qtr against CSU, after we scored 21 unanswered @UMass, and 1st qtr against ASU...the Warriors could make it interesting.

It's about what I thought it would be. UH is better this year, but Oregon State was up 38-7 and fell asleep at the wheel. They beat Northern Iowa 27-24 last night. This is their first trip to the mainland and home/away with UH is historically a pretty drastic split. They definitely scrap and don't quit, but I think we have a good chance of winning by 10-14 if we avoid our "two steps back" routine.

It's almost impossible to predict which CU team will show up on Saturday. I hope HCMM will have us prepared for Hawaii.

That doesnt mean anything....they are a much different road team. This is their first game off the islands.

Hawai'i is not that good of a team, especially on the road. This is their first road game, and it will have an 8:00 a.m. (HT) kickoff. They lost their best running back to a fractured ankle.

This game is all about the Buffs. If they play as well as they did against ASU in the final three quarters, and sustain that level of play throughout the game, they will win going away, regardless of what Hawai'i does.

After the ASU game, I think we should all expect the Buffs to come out fired up and ready to show the swagger they had against ASU in the 2nd-4th quarter. I truly think our D figured it out and got some confidence that they can hang with anybody of they tackle and get their heads into the game.

I think the team needs to show that ASU wasn't a flash in the pan. So time to deliver a best down to an opponent for the 1st time in a long time. Who should we beat down this week. Say Aloha to Hawaii (sorry, couldn't resist)

I will take a win in any form. Style points no matter at this point in time. Killem if you can.

Winning is the main thing, but it would be really disappointing if we reverted to some of the same **** that plagued us against CSU and UMass. We have so much to build off of from our ASU performance. Really need "that team" to show up. Doesn't mean we win by 4 TD's, but it does mean we put Hawaii away in the second half to some extent, even if the scoreline isn't lopsided. Hawaii completely wilted in 2010 in Boulder in the second half. Granted, they had been at West Point the weekend before, but I hope we can do that to them again to some extent.

Figured no changes. Hope to see Reed soon though. He has been out longer than anticipated with that sports hernia.

Thought his return was projected for 9/24?

Buffs should win. Altitude and road trip for the 'bows.

Kids didn't finish in CSEWE's Super Bowl; came back on the road at UMass; shoulda prevailed last week, except for the Fumble, the Stumble and the Bumble!

Is that the first time rippy has been on the depth chart? Also they did add frazier as de

There was talk he could have been ready by UMass. Either way I am ok with them taking their time with a kid coming back from surgery.

Don't forget that kickoff is at 8am Hawaii Time.

I always get scared when I hear hawaii. I just remember the pizza delivery guy looking like Kenny Stabler against our D a few years back

Kenny Stabler? He looked more like the Toledo QB circa 2009 (who in my estimation is the greatest dual-threat quarterback to ever play the game).

Ate there any 4 for 100 type deals on Hawaii tickets? Thinking about taking the kids to this one.

MacII was really bragging up Frazier at DE in his press conference. I think he graded out great and used to play the position. Offers better size for us also. That is a nice development.
