We need to start talking about him being an all conference player. We have talked about other players moving on into the NFL, but Ken has absolutely stepped it up. Good for him.

Absolutely. He's playing at a very high level.

Ahkello played a lot today, too. He looked pretty good to me also. I really don't have much complaint about the way our secondary is playing. Biggest issues in pass coverage are the lack of rush and our LBs getting abused by the TE. The Cal game was the same with that backup TE (Anderson) killing us.

He commits too many game-changing penalties to be a good defensive back. He practically lost the game for us today with his push off.

i have 1 complaint about almost all of our DB's... for the most part they still don't turn and look for the ball

When they do, it gets called a PI. Seems like we've had a lot of calls go against us from CSU through today based on actually trying to go for the ball instead of allowing the WR to take a stab at it while being in position and trying to strip it to avoid a catch.

Secondary is the best group on the team.

And they'll be a lot better in 2015.

Same with the DL in 2015.

We've got to fix our LB play, though. Over-running plays, not getting off blocks, and getting smoked in pass coverage while also not giving us TFLs, hurries or sacks off blitzes.

what ever happened to Yuri Wright?

Should have been redshirted his freshman season and I think that playing him did more harm than good.

Redshirted last year.

Started to play better toward the end of fall camp this year, but still inconsistent and not as good as Witherspoon or Walker right now. May not be as good as Sanchez right now.

Here's the scary thing about our secondary and how good it could have been: beyond Bell's injury shuffling things around, the thing we don't talk about is Hall's criminal behavior. He'd passed Crawley. Now, KC did make a huge jump over the summer and in fall camp so you have to figure that the way he's playing he probably would have won the job. But the depth in our secondary would have been sick if Hall hadn't been an ass. Might be that he'd be our nickel over Walker right now or that he would have shifted to safety and allowed Chido to play in the box at NB even after Bell went down.

Crawley is all conference material. Hopefully no juniors leave this year, including him . But I have been wondering about yuri.. he is a ghost. I keep expecting to see his name pop up on a transfer list

Taking Moten's injury into account as well. Damn hard to think about. Those guys plus Henington and a healthy Gillam would really be making believers out of us right now.

Any word on walker? If not injured, Akhello and evan white took his job today. If akhello was in, hendo played the slot.

I didn't hear anything. No idea.

At one point of the game I was in a panic thinking that Henderson had gotten hurt because I saw Ahkello and Crawley on the outside. Then I noticed Hendo playing inside as you said. I also saw White a lot today (and he pretty much had to ask Tedric what he was supposed to do before every snap, but still performed).

1. Yea, they were platooning white and Akhello all day. If a 2d TE game in, white came in and more or less wandered around lost and acted as a 3d LB/safety. When it got loud, TT was constantly trying to get him lined up properly, and wasn't always successful.

2. If a 3d WR came in, Akhello played the outside CB and did a fine job. Hendo thrived in the slot.

Overall, I think White playing was more of an indictment of our LBs than anything else. Just didn't trust them to do anything.

We are improving. Who would have thought Crawley would make Henderson look so average?
