CU @ USC

Kickoff: TBD
TV: TBD (expect Pac-12 Net)

USC is going to have a game @ UofA before our matchup. They could very easily be coming into that game having lost two straight and having little to play for. In my experience with folks involved in athletics at USC, there is an arrogance and a pride that they compete with that once they are no longer shooting for a top tier finish they quit. Could see that happening with the new staff and the short bench for their football program.

Their defense is going to be a big problem for us, and their offense is hit or miss. They are averaging 33pts per game and are giving up 21.6pts per game. The defense is what won their game over Stanford, because the O did not crack 300yds. They gave up 450 rushing yards to BC and 510 passing yards to ASU, but held OSU to 181 total yards so it is hard to tell what their weakness is on D, or if they are just ridiculously inconsistent.

Kessler is having a solid year at QB with almost 70% completions and 0 int's, they have good talent at the skill positions with a RB on pace for over 1000yds and 1500 all purpose yds. Their receivers are not as good as they have had in the recent past. No Woods or Lee hanging back there which is
good for us.

Definitely going to be a tough match up for the buffs, but I think we have a shot. Have to play a full 4 quarters though. We cannot take the 3rd quarter off.

Defense wilted late against ASU. Our Offense could do some damage against them, especially late, if our D can keep it close to start.

This game seems like a prime upset candidate. Powerhouse USC against lowly newcomer CU. They will have played a tough game @ UA and we'd have 2 weeks rest and prep for them, and in their arrogance they could look past us.

IF they lose to UofA, they simply won't care is what I am expecting.

Also T-Mc chose a good week to put up some good film. Another WR to game plan for and an element to discourage them from doubling Spruce.

Kickoff announced at 4pm (Mountain)
TV will be Pac-12 Net.

Good time slot if we can pull the upset.

That makes for a great weekend. Have fun all day saturday, hit the couch and enjoy some CU football. Weird that I'm not saying that last part sarcastically.

I'd be very surprised if $C doesn't burst UA's bubble. Arizona's just not that good, and they'll be primed for a letdown.

I do think that win or lose Saturday, $C will not be taking CU as seriously as CU will be taking them. The question will be if our offense can continue to be productive. $C's offense is not nearly as potent as the last two we've faced, but their defense is a lot better than the last two.

With that being the case. Would you guys guess that ticket demand should only diminish between today and 10/18 instead of incresase? I'm probably going to buy tickets on stubhub or some other secondary market since I've heard the visitor section at the Coliseum is garbage. Advice please, would you buy tickets now or roll the dice?

If Troy should fall to the desert kittens, prices will be dirt cheap I would imagine.

Scalping for that game just can't be that tough. You could sit anywhere you want. I would rather sit close to fellow fans though. Weird fan base that school.

That would help Duff, they will certainly try to run. The way I look at it is, let it loose, play balls to the wall with nothing to lose. End of the day, the players are gonna have to live with what happens this season. How you wanna go about that? There will be plenty that won't play pro. It's up to them.

Yeah-Arizona if UA keeps winning........but I like that we're the only game they have that day.....I like Ted Robinson.

Powell and Gillam should be at full speed for next week

Mac said that their concussions symptoms were way down. Not sure if he means they were really minor concussions or the guys are just progressing well.

Quasi off topic - but I'm looking to take the wife and both kids to game. Does anyone know where to pick up some cheap tickets? The cheapest I can find right now (4 tix, service fees, delivery fees) - $220.

Livingsocial.com is running a deal for $30 tickets (or 25% off any face value tickets)

Problem with the Living Social deal is that the $30 tickets are awful seats, if that matters to you. If you're just looking to get inside the stadium then that's a great deal. I was looking at StubHub and VividSeats (not to be confused with Vivid Video) one of those website comes with unending popups!
