UCLA

Projected Starters
Bryce Alford - #DaddyBall should be able to run the point for high powered Bruins.
Norman Powell - Team's only returning starter whose all around game should keep the Bruins rolling.
Isaac Hamilton - High scoring freshman who originally signed with UTEP in 2013.
Kevon Looney - McDonalds All-American will probably get the edge over Wannah Bail at PF.
Tony Parker - Time for highly recruited big man to live up to expectations.

The Bruins have talent, but seeing how it all fits together is going to be the interesting thing. I was not a fan of Steve Alford as a head coaching hire for the Bruins, but he did a great job managing egos last year for the conference champions. This team may require even more work. If Alford can get them to click however, the Bruins could be dangerous. Losing Bolden for the year really hurts them, but they have numerous guys who can fill that spot. Keep an eye on Wannah Bail who is finally eligible after transferring from Texas Tech. Another fun development will be watching Thomas Welsh over the next few years and seeing if Will or Ryan is correct on this one.

CU marketing needs to figure something out for this one. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again: it sets up for UCLA to come into Boulder over break on a 0 degree night in front of 7k and leave us with a home loss we deeply regret come Pac12 tournament seeding time. We simply have to win this.

I was thinking about how much we all want to beat UCLA, because of course they keep pwning us, and it got me thinking about who else I should hate on the same account (not many). So I gathered overall records against the other schools since joining the PAC. What I've learned is... in the big 3 sports, CU does desperately need a W over UCLA. But Stanford isn't far behind... Also, MBB is the only one here with a winning record against the PAC <sad face>

Been hearing really good things about Welsh out of summer/fall workouts, be interesting so see if he contributes this year. Is he just going to be a W̶e̶a̶r̶ ̶2̶.̶0̶ Wear 3.0?

In general, that would be ok. Specific to the Buffs, I don't think I can handle another UCLA big who rarely does much being challenged to beat us and shooting 90% every ****ing time we play.

Fun discussion point I hadn't thought of....

What gives with all the Crean hate? Thought he was honorary Hoosier for Life, after nicely resurrecting Marquette and apparently restoring the faith in Bloomington? Wot happened?

Even if Crean tanks, I thought Alfie burned too many bridges, starting in Madison County, then moving through the "Q" and then, ending up in LaLa Land, as the next stand-in for the Ultimate Hoosier......
