Credit to BAbird88 for linking this from the Rivals board.

XT starts off by talking about his HS coach instilling a pass first mentality that has made him the PG he is today.

Full interview is just under 7 minutes. Focuses on the local angle (ag community, in-state, etc.). Moves on to what he's done and what he will do to fill Spencer's shoes and what he and this team will be this season.

Gave a shout out to Fletch as the young guy who improved the most in the offseason.

Really looking forward to seeing how much XT has improved his game. I always felt the criticisms of him as being a step slow or of limited athleticism , came from his need to gain confidence and experience at the D1 level; that is for him to realize he can play at this level and be successful.

For him, as for many players in various sports, as the game slows down, the player speeds up.

When he plays focused and confident, he is a damn good basketball player. Needs to be more consistent doing that.

Good to hear someone on the local radio that actually knew their s*** about the program. Props to him.
