And bring in 10 or so JC players that can immediately come and contribute. I realize that it might throw class balance off, but I think it's the only way we see a significant change in the W-L column next year. Need something to happen to kick start recruiting.

That is the last time I want to hear anyone say we should emulate KSU! Haha

I get what you're saying, but I think we have a nucleus to build around. Maybe 1-2 would do the trick

No we don't. We will see a big change in the W/L column next year, one game doesn't change that.

A couple more wins a year and we will be back to Dan Hawkins level of football. It is sure scary to think about it like that!

I just see too many holes in the D that have no one to step in immediately. We are being physically dominated and no freshman or RS is going to help that next year.

But having the RS-frosh returning wont? Just think about how young we are on both sides of the ball. From WR to RB to QB to DE to LB to safety we are extremely young and all should return.

No. I don't think it will. Shaver shouldn't be playing this year, or next year. Not that I don't think he couldn't be good, he's just not there physically, and won't be there next year. Same with Olegbode. Same with Lopez. We need to bring in the Gabe Neinnhus's and DJ Hackett's to buy some time so we are physically and mentally on the same level as the rest of the teams.

I give up. Youth is a huge problem, yet we have been in the game with every team except USC who has top 5 talent.

I actually think Mac is trying. I'm never. Never seen CU target so many Juco's

Youth is certainly a problem, But being young and no talent doesn't change into an All-American just because he ages 3 years.

At KSU you can major in PE. Not so much at CU. Hence, in part, the lack of JC transfers.

Coursework Not Accepted for Transfer Credit

The following course work will not be accepted for transfer credit and will not count toward a degree at Boulder:

  • any courses in which the grade earned is below a C- (1.7),
  • courses identified by CU-Boulder as remedial, such as remedial English, mathematics, science, and developmental reading,
  • vocational-technical courses that are offered at two-year and proprietary institutions (exceptions may be granted only by the CU-Boulder dean responsible for the student's curriculum--when exceptions appear to be warranted, appropriate department heads make recommendations to their respective deans regarding credit for such courses),
  • courses in religion that constitute specialized religious training or that are doctrinal in nature,
  • credits earned for work experience or through a cooperative education program,
  • outdoor leadership education course work,
  • credits earned in physical education activity courses,
  • courses or programs identified as college orientation.

http://www.colorado.edu/admissions/undergraduate/apply/transfer/transfercredit

If you read thru that section you can see there are some slippery slope items regarding JC transfer of credits. The credits being transferred in would have to roughly align with courses at CU. So, some credits can be lost entirely or questioned or only partially credited. Which means said JC transfer would have to spend more than 2 years to earn his degree. And he was at a JC already for a good reason...

New JUCO standards limiting PE transfer credits and raising core credits goes into effect next year IIRC. Of course that will probably only create more academic fraud, but at least it's something.

I thought we were supposed to see 7 wins this year? What happened? Did you finally just decide that we're young?

Kill yourself

Am I doing it right? But thanks for taking a joke prediction seriously, dumb****

Quality deflection. So now your "Official Season Prediction" and 99% of your offseason posts stating we'd make a bowl game were jokes? Gotcha

Actually I was seriously predicting 5-7, and I had a chat with white rabbit stating that. I was also saying that it would take a perfect season to get to a bowl game and requried going 3-0 in the ooc and beating Cal and OSU...neither of which were far off.

I thought we'd win 5 or 6 as well. Thought we'd beat CSU and one of Cal/OSU, and steal one down the stretch. I actually thought Utah was a possible win, but UCLA looks more beatable now.

Yeah, not sure why slider is trying to make my predictions to have been some crazy outlandish prediction

During the CU @ USC broadcast the announcers indicates Dr Dre donated a boatload of money to the Trojans for some one-of-a-kind degree involving electronics and entertainment. It sounded a lot like like mixing and DJ'ing.

That reminded me of JFly and his desire to study rapping at CU.

How about CU cozy up with Wycliffe Jean and offer some modern degree in Reggae and house music? That kind of degree program wouldn't hurt recruiting, would it?

I mean, if UCLA and USC are in tune with what attracts fast and tall WRs, then it'd be okay for other members of the Conference of Champions to follow suit.

We didn't bail on the Big 12 for nothing. Let's learn from our 'natural' peers.

Maybe. It lacks an academic feel to it and geography is not on our side (USC and UCLA live in that market). The idea begs the question of what direction the admin thinks the university should take. If you look at how much money and square footage they have parked out at Fitzsimmons in the last 10-15 years, where the Presidents office was moved, you have an idea. I don't see them making an investment in a program like that but you never know.

Dre just came into a windfall of cash when Apple bought his Beats product. What kind of scratch does Jean have?

Never gonna happen. Mac has his system. It's working, just gonna need more time cuz of the hole we were in, the conference/division we are in and the rapid improvement of most PAC12 teams. I'm pushing my turnaround date to 2016 because of this.

MacIntyre hasn't been opposed to bringing in JUCO guys, but yeah we're not.going to be doing the KSU thing.
