Notes: Witherspoon got his first start (over crawley) against USC. Might have been a formation thing. Crawley is still the starter on the depth chart.

Bad news: Pow's concussion symptoms are back after the USC game....

Also injured, Spoon (concussion), Crabb (concussion), and Bobo (chest contusion). All day to day except Bob, who is probable.

McCartney is threatening the frosh sack record of six, set by Alfred Williams. He has 4 through 7 games. He's currently tied for 3d with Matt Russel and needs only 1/2 a sack to move into 2d.

ToJo is the definitive starter at RB. Pow down to 3d in the 4 back rotation.

I don't know nearly enough about the medical side of this stuff for Pow, but I'd be scared ****less if I were him. I'm sure he's getting good advice from the medical staff and I hope he's listening.

Thanks for the post. Good information.

We definitely have to be worried about Powell's future at this point. Don't risk your long term health CP!

If I was Pow, I would at least consider not playing anymore. I'm sure they'd keep him on scholarship. You just really have to ask yourself if it's worth it. I don't wanna see him get another one.

McCartney. Point well made. The failure of the past two regimes to keep players and develop them is too obvious

That's why this staff need at least two more years to bring in and develop players, irrespective of stars, especially in the trenches. You can't accelerate the maturity that comes from just the simple lapse of time; combined with a strong development program, which neither of the previous two staffs had.

Holy. Crap. That not good. I never thought of that but you can never have a good defense doing this.
