Kind of reminds me of Bobo.

Yeah, that was my first thought. But he's thicker. And his hudl has him listed as a hybrid WR/TE. Could the coaches be looking at him as the McCulloch replacement in this recruiting class and considering him as a playmaker at TE?

Watched him against Valor (MacIntyre was next to us all night). He lined up mostly at TE and was the best receiver on the field. Made a couple great catches on balls behind him. He's bigger than the 190 listed.

Here's an interview with Justin Jan. He plans to visit Colorado, but is focused on his prep season at the moment. Strong chance IMO that he commits to the Buffs.

He could fill the shoes of Tyler M. pretty easily, it seems. He tore up Valor in the game they played them. In fact this is probably a case in what the coaches were wanting to do with Tyler.

Justin is an intriguing talent. Look forward to seeing where this goes. Seems like a fit for Buffs needs.

Split tight end?

I think we need to standardize our Allbuffs nomenclature here.

Which do we like:

H-Back or TE-H
Move TE
Split TE
Slot TE

Probably one of those 4. Basically, we're talking about some of the things that McCulloch is doing this year as a big WR. This isn't a guy who is going to be asked very often (if ever) to motion and lead a run play between the tackles. But it is a guy who may take a seam pass, underneath routes and screens while also being asked to split wider at times to block on quick screens to the outside WR or to be able to run a wheel route off that same action/look.

I don't think H-Back fits. That's more of what Frazier does as a FB+ for us. The other 3 options are probably more descriptive of what this is and differentiates from a TE whose hand is on the ground at the end of the LOS.

"After an in-home visit with Gary Bernardi on Tuesday, Justin Jan is even more anxious for his upcoming trip to Boulder."

Not blown away with him as an athlete, but glad to see we are recruiting Phoenix harder.
