Total yards: CU 495 - UW 442
3rd down: CU 11/21 - UW 2/11
Plays run: CU 89 - UW 59

Where did they **** it up?

4 ****ing turnovers, including 3 straight possessions.

Special teams touchdown on a PR.

Special teams fumble.

Pick-6.

Only giving Adkins 13 carries.

Offense that constantly has 4 or 5 guys out on a pass pattern but no one even attempting to stretch the defense with a route beyond 10-15 yards.

This was sickening today.

Perfect synopsis. Spot on.

I missed the game, but your summary is all I need to know. Recording erased on DVR.

I was looking at the stats and wondering the same thing as nik. How the hell did we lose this game?? Obviously the turnovers did us in, but the short routes, strange play calls at the end of the game, and same old story getting stopped in the red zone pretty much all add up to a losing effort

I just want to point out that UW was doing a pretty good job of trying to give the game away to us in the first half. If Cyler was moderately better at catching the snap, we probably don't go into the half with the lead.

Pretty much sums it up. I'd throw in that touchdown for UW right before the half as another frustrating aspect of this loss. Was able to get a FG on the first drive of the second half and then the wheels fell off.

We gave away to may huge plays on defense. Almost all of those can be directly attributed to bad LB play.

We need to find some LBs immediately, JUCOs would be nice, quality HS guys would help.

Our DEs are bad but very young, with more size and experience they have some hope for the future but outside of Gillam I have seen zero LBs that I have any hope for the future with on this roster.

I do think that Watanabe will be good but that is only one guy. Who will be our LBs in the future?

Washington turned it over twice inside the 10, BTW.

Exactly. Washington made mistakes. The game was there for the taking and we saw a CU team that said, "Oh yeah? Well we can piss away opportunities at an elite level you ****ing amateurs!".

So where do we go from here? All I hear each week is, woulda, shoulda, coulda. The progress is evident, now need to punch through. We need that mental fortitude to know when to put the foot on the throat. Until that happens, this will happen each and every week.

I'm not saying I haven't been this discouraged before, while following the Buffs. But I'm pretty discouraged.

Self-destruction.

Youth. Mistakes and inexperience.

I thought we looked strong in the first half. Shot ourselves in the foot after that.

Right there with ya. This game has been the hardest loss for me all year.

It's part of the triumvirate for me. Cal, with the missed FGs and inability to run the play that was called in OT. CSU with the failure to put the game away, awful tackling and complete turtling. Washington with the laundry list of ****ty execution.

You can throw in UCLA and Oregon State too.

I didn't expect us to compete with UCLA this year, so I can throw that one out. I didn't include OSU because I was able to deal better with that one. It wasn't so much what the team did or didn't do. We ran into a vet QB making ridiculous plays and officiating that ****ed us dry.

I came away from those mostly with a feeling of pride for our team despite the results.

This game...... :keule: So important per recruiting and direction. There will be additional hurdles as a consequence.

I went into the second half fully expecting the collapse. Being up by three points after basically dominating the first half, I knew what was coming. This team has no heart.

Ill keep going to the games. It's only a matter of time before they turn it around. I'm afraid it's going to be quite some time, though. I had hopes that next year would be better. I'm not optimistic now.

At least you should have your choice of seats!

I don't know what it will take for this team to play a complete game. We looked great in the first half. I turned it off after the 3rd TO early in the 2nd half.

So, instead of playing our good half in the 2nd, we play a good first half and ****ing suck in the second.

There is something going on psychologically with this team. Is it that we have to focus soooo much to make up for disparity of talent and we can't keep up that focus? Is it that we are so young and these kids can't focus that long? I really don't know, but it's getting really old.

No heart? Wow. That's about all they have. No talent, bad coaching, yes but no heart? Would love to see you playing your ass off after so many heartbreaking losses. They've had every reason in the world to fold their tent but they keep battling. Some fans have no heart.
