I just received word that a good college friend is getting married in Kansas City on 10-13-07. I looked at the schedule and CU is playing in Manhattan that weekend.

Weeping.

huh! i have a buddy from flight school who is getting married this summer in Vegas. no one is invited.

they are having a reception the same day as the CU/FSU game. he wants me to drive an hour north to charlotte nc for thier party!!!

huh!!! i dont think so! if im going anywhere, its gonna be to Boulder, Colorado to watch the Buffs play.

**** these people who pull this bull**** during CF season and expect you to drop your plans on a dime and attend thier BS events, during CF season.

and im willing to bet that 90% of the time, its the women picking the date and the dude aint got the ballz to put the BS stamp on it!

I am still in the doghouse with a buddies wife. They got married on the Michigan game in Colorado. I asked him when he told me the date to check to see if they could move it (joking for the most part). He went to her and asked her - and to this day she still thinks I was serious.

She has a good sense of humor, but it comes up at least once a year.

My wife is trained - her friend was planning to get married this September until she told her to look at the CU schedule. They are now getting married in January. Now those are smart friends!

Um, but what if CU is playing in a major bowl?

mrs sackman will tell you, if you ask, about how our wedding was scheduled in September, but during a bye week. Hey, this was 1994 we're talking about here. If I had scheduled the wedding two weeks later, we all would have missed the Miracle in Michigan. Now you tell me, was I smart about this or what? The only problem now is that if we want to take a trip to celebrate our anniversary, it will probably conflict with a game.

the trick is to make sure that your anniversary trip location coincides with an away game location....then everybody wins!!

i just hope your buddy's ceremony is Sunday.... Saturday u may have a conflict! A good friends of mine got married in Dallas... the Eagles were playing the Cowboys... but low and behold., the game was a Saturday NIGHT game... right during the damn party!

I know the wedding is an evening affair and Im hoping that the game is the early FSN game. If its the ABC regoinal Im cooked, although if it is then odds are the Buffs are doing well and I guess thats just as important, right?

Hey, what do you know? Our anniversary is two days after the ASU game. Cool how that works, huh?

My sister-in-lawgot married in October during a CU game. I still think the only reason I was an usher was to make me go. I actually had a walkman on at the back of the chruch, the entire groom's party kept looking back for updates.

The date my wife originally picked was the CU CSU game. I flat out told her to change it. We had it on a bye week for CU and CSU.

We planned our wedding around gaps in the Hurricane's and Dolphins schedule. My dad, a season ticket holder to both, told my wife that if he's gonna help pay for it then he has a say over the date. She didn't like it but came to see that football is religion down there and among the women folk in my family. I got out that one.
