How many points can we lose by and still be happy?

Since it has been established that winning doesn't matter and that the important thing is to not lose by as many points as Embree used to lose by, my question is what is the point margin where we can lose to Arizona by and still be pleased with our "progress"?

How many more games do we have to lose to atone for whatever transgressions we apparently made... Feels like we've been stuck in some sort of football purgatory for the past 10 years.

I'm never happy after a loss. Close losses, in a way, are worse even, on the "Happy Scale."

We could lose by 40 and someone would come up with:

"Hey we held them to FG's in the 1stQ!!!!!!!"
"We outscored them in the 4thQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"UofA had their starters in with a couple mins left. Yay!!!!!!!"

With this decimated secondary situation....... Uuuhhh...... Wow. A bunch? Yikes.

On the other hand, playing with house money in this game, lowest expectations amongst Buff faithful yet. Me included.

Low expectations here as well but the question was what it will take for me to be happy. A win would make me happy.

Eleventy billion.

no one on this board is ****ing happy when we lose. The optimism comes from the team ****ing playing better. I feel like some posters on this board don't realize how deep in it this program was and the fact we are competing is reason for hope. Threads like this are ****ing dumb.

You must have been dropped several times in the delivery room.

I can't be happy any more with any kind of loss. Close or not.

Hey retard, you're the one who spews this garbage every week. I can't wait for:

"Two years ago Ka'Deem Carey had 366 yards all by himself. This year we held their WHOLE team to 350 yards rushing. Yippeee"

This game was going rate ugly regardless. Tedric is out, chidobe is out for the season, Irwin out. Now more ugly. Our safeties are white and Smith. Neither were two deep at the start of fall camp.

Damn. Just saw that on Rivals. We are snake bit this year in the secondary, with injuries.
