CU Volleyball

I have never really watched volleyball outside of the Olympics. This year for some reason (Pac-12 network) I have watched almost every volleyball game that I could and I am now a fan of the sport. I will probably get season tickets next year.

Seriously, I'm not sure how many people who don't already watch volleyball who will open this thread but if someone does, give it a watch. They are really fun to watch.

Agreed, I have been watching when I can and I get more into it than the football games. Really fun to watch.

+1 It was always one of my favorite to watch in the Olympics, and I'm loving Pac12 Volleyball. I really wish we could add sand volleyball.

They are also really fun to attend. Great spectator sport, and would recommend attending a match if you ever get the chance.

I'm going to get season tickets next year. They are pretty cheap/reasonable right?

I think they have been $25 the last two seasons. Please come out and support this team and next year's team. They have earned it and they really don't draw. It's very difficult to draw on the Sunday afternoon matches because of the Broncos, but do come to the Thursday or Friday match.

We did determine yesterday that it is a requirement if you play volleyball that you have long straight hair.

I did enjoy the match yesterday, even if they should have won 3-0 instead of 3-2. It's much more fun than watching online or on television from Iowa. You see more being there. I will say that I have learned a lot about volleyball that I did not know from the announcers. Because I live in B1G country, I've also been watching a lot of their volleyball matches, especially Wisconsin. They pack the basketball gym in Madison and support their team. Very rowdy crowd.

$25 per adult.

I go to matches when I'm in town--I love the sport.

1. It's accessible. You don't have to understand a lot of nuance to follow the game.

2. It moves quickly and is exciting.

3. It really showcases women's athleticism. Sometimes basketball fails in this regard, but V-ball absolutely delivers.

Great sport! Fun atmosphere.

I agree! I love going to the volleyball games! Very entertaining, great athleticism and great action!

I have followed the Womens basketball team for a long time. Only recently, have I paid much attention to the Womens volleyball team and I'll tell you what, I think I like watching it more than basketball.

Round of zimas

I always have liked watching during the Olympics, but since the twins picked up volleyball in HS this year, I absolutely love watching it. I am forever in a day getting confused about the positions and what happens during rotations, but it's good to have a couple of Xs and Os type guys in the house to explain it to me.

Picked up the game against UDub after the Buffs went up 2-0. Promptly lost the next two sets, then I applied superstition to the equation, went to watching HGTV, and what do you know? BUFFS WIN!

Damn - can't watch anymore CU volleyball on TV.

If some crazy stuff happens and the team ends up close to VA Beach in the tournament, we're there.

I have learned so much from the television announcers about the x's and o's that I never knew.

I really enjoy the sport. I saw Wilt Chamberlain play at McNichols in the old pro volleyball league. The LA Stars against the Denver Comets in the International Volleyball League. Indoor pro VBall has just never taken off.
