TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — — Stanford's Elise Cranny had a great finish for a freshman at her first NCAA cross country championships on Saturday, but the Niwot High School grad was disappointed with her 12th-place finish.

Cranny might have done better under Burroughs and Wetmore.

Very true. However, I'll never criticize a runner for not going to CU to run (to be clear, I'm not at all trying to say that you are). Wetmore's methods and mileage is not for everyone. That said, I'm glad he's our coach and am impressed when a runner who I know chooses to become a Buff.

Edit: I just watched an episode of "Monumental Mysteries" that had a segment on your avatar.

Disappointed as I was that CU did not get Cranny I have to say that any girl coming out of high school who has the chance for an education at Stanford on Stanford's $$ would be nuts not to give it very very serious consideration.

Popular opinion is on your side. And it's this very sentiment that keeps Colorado from sealing the border and puts our beloved university at a competitive disadvantage.
