Did CU Get Screwed On The Interception That Wasn't ??

My sister was watching the game on tv and said so. That probably has no bearing on the outcome but as we all know the very next play was the fake punt. Neinas sure didn't have them ready for that crap and a few plays later Utah got a TD. Every week the hard luck Buffs find new ways to lose :bang:

Had a big bearing but idk, I didn't see it. I just know they reviewed two after that. Have robots do it if those pricks can't. Was a momentum swing for sure, we were up by 8.

My kid's friend texted us that it was on the ground. I thought that's what I saw on the stadium screen. It really shouldn't have been a big deal. All we had to do WAS NOT **** UP THE PUNT!!!!

Or sack Wilson 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage on Utah's first scoring drive.

There was nothing in the replay that I saw that would lead to an overturn of the call on the field of an interception.

yes. and probably a 14 point swing. we were rolling pretty well on offense at the time, and they scored 7 immediately.

This play is seared in my memory. Juda appeared to be dogging it in "pursuit" and then completely gave away contain. He hustles and stays disciplined and Wilson gets sacked without a doubt.

Our DEs inability to keep contain is inexcusable. CSU was understandable with the youth and inexperience, but week 12? Don't know if I support pulling the trigger on Jeffcoat, but definitely and area that has to improve.

Which one are you again?

I didn't see it but that play and the fake punt after changed the whole game. That can't happen, absolutely ridiculous.

LOL.

I am Rita's boss.

Nice Fletch reference.

I watched the game and felt we got screwed on that call. I did not see enough evidence to overturn the call on the field. The crap announcers sure felt like the ball was on the ground. The fake punt was a great call by Utah. We were on our heels after the Int was overturned. Neinas should have been fired on the spot.

That call shouldn't have made one bit of difference. Contain. Contain the fake punt and our field position improves by 30 yards from where the interception took place.

We were snakebit all year long. This was just another in a long line of disasters.

yep. You could argue it is the fourth game we lost that a bad call against us was the difference

Henderson fell down while covering one of their guys in the 2nd quarter and allowed him to score. He didn't have his best game.

Poster suggests the ability to turn any player recruited into a star at their position. And not doing so is unacceptable.

Three guys chased him around back there. That showed how little speed we have in the DL.
Wilson has good speed and can run the ball. Him escaping wasn't because of the lack of speed, it was poor contain and poor angles taken

Speed can make up for some of those things.

We absolutely lack veteran speed on the DL. That is improving, and should be much better next season.

Did MacIntyre **** some of the ref's wives or something? Honestly, this years team has had more than its share of ****ty calls.

he chased a crew off the field in boulder, and was likely a reason the head of officiating "resigned". refs were not going to be on his side the rest of the year.

Or get the D lined up so Henderson doesn't have to cover two receivers on the "Not" Utah TD Pass play that followed.

If the refs don't overturn the interception, the Buffs don't beat themselves.

This Utah team was not much better than us, but they'll claim they played down to our level as every team we've played have pretty much claimed after each game. I take from this, we are on the cusp, once we eliminate more mistakes. Don't think we lose too many players this year and hopefully some redshirts can fill some holes next year.

Was it an interception? Probably not.
Was there enough evidence to overturn? No.

I get that we should have been ready for the fake punt - I was expecting it, frankly - but overturning that call was just another example of ****ty ass Pac-12 refereeing. That was the first of 3 overturns in 5 plays. If you have 3 overturns in 5 plays, someone is ****ing up somewhere.

It would be fun to see some retired refs put out a list of best and worst officiating by conference. Something like this would put pressure on Larry Scott.

Not following you 100%, but didn't imply he had to be a star. Only that he needed to hustle and keep contain. Don't need to be a star to do that, just a player who should have better fundamentals and effort.

You using the whole fist doc? That never gets old.

Speed/quickness/first step/burst come only from god. You can't coach it. They have it or they don't.

It can touch the ground as long as he controls the ball prior to that. Is the college rule different?
