Very ****ty Monday slate of games.

No one in the Top 25 in action.

Best of this weak bunch is Nebraska @ Florida State (5pm, ESPN2).

Next best is probably Rutgers @ Clemson (5pm, ESPNU).

Might be a good night for sports junkies to actually spend time with their families.

Yeah ... 'cause from pretty much here on in through January the mandatory sports watching schedule will be chock full.

Florida State had a one point lead over Nebraska ten minutes into the game, then failed to score for six minutes and Nebraska pulled way ahead. The game is being played in front of an FSU home crowd of approximately 100.

B1G is dominating the ACC/B1G challenge, 6-2. Killers were 'Cuse falling by 3 at Michigan and NC State at Purdue by 5. I'd expect a strong showing by the ACC tomorrow in the final 6 games, but one game involves Virginia Tech on the road (at Penn St). As such, it seems the best the ACC could hope for is forcing a 7-7 draw.

Long story short:

#2 Duke visits #4 Wisconsin tomorrow. Should be a great game.

ACC/B1G Challenge really confirmed what we already knew:

B1G has more depth, ACC is better at the top.

Duke was shooting like 60% from the floor, I don't know where it ended up but that's crazy against Wisconsin. I mean they usually play good D.

I'm pretty pumped up to see #6 Texas at #1 Kentucky (5pm, ESPN). Major test for the Cats and might give some insight into whether KU could be dethroned in the Big 12 this year.

I can't tell if it's my bias or what, but I am not sold on Texas at all.

Put it this way: I'm sold on their roster as a Final Four level squad... and then I hold back due to the Rick Barnes factor.

Dont forget the other wildcats are in action this weekend too - against the zags. That's going to be a good match up.

SMU getting all they can stomacy from Wyoming.

Adams is kind of a ridiculous athlete. Early 2H and he makes a steal, goes the length and power slams it home. Guy can flat out jump.

Amazing that UK is still so in control on a night when they start 0/11 from 3pt range against a Top 10 team.

What a 2nd half by KU. Wow. Florida is a mess. Usually I'd say that Billy Donovan is good enough to avoid a -21 half just by his game management. But there were simply no answers out there with the team he has.

For those that love a clash of styles...

UVA visits VCU tomorrow (Noon MST, ESPNU) UVA is the only power conference program with the stones to ever pay Shaka and VCU a visit. We'll see how it turns out. VCU's arena gets LOUD as it is, and that place is going to be an absolute hornets' nest tomorrow. "Shakaville" tents have been up for days. UVA showed a ton of poise in handling Maryland on the road by double digits in front of a riled up group of Terps chanting every expletive in the book on Wednesday. Two intense road games in a few days is asking a lot.
Shaka's "havoc" meets Bennett's pack line.

As a fun fact, Shaka and Bennett are actually close friends. Both Wisconsin natives, they have formed a very close bond in recent years despite the complete differences in philosophies.
