FORT COLLINS – Aside from a third-set snooze, Friday afternoon went pretty much by the numbers for the University of Colorado volleyball team. The number that mattered: CU 3, Northern Colorado 1, and it was sufficient to send No. 19 CU into the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

On Thursday, the Buffs bused up I-25 believing if they dispatched the Bears, No. 9 Colorado State would await on Saturday. No surprise here: With no noticeable lapses, CSU pushed past Denver 3-0 in Friday’s second match at Moby Arena, making CU’s second-round forecast accurate.

One link to video (as well as GameTracker) come match time- http://www.cubuffs.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=600&SPID=256&SPSID=3866&DB_OEM_ID=600. Assume these links will also be available through CSU's website- http://www.csurams.com/sports/w-volley/sched/csu-w-volley-sched.html . (The later may also link to an audio stream on CSU's student radio station. If it doesn't, interested folk can try station's website directly come gametime- http://kcsufm.com/more-ways-to-listen/ )

Match time is 4:30 today mountain time (of course at Moby Arena at CSU). For those going to the match who have general admission tickets, gates open at 3:30 if you want the best GA seats.

For those interested in much more detail, here's a link to the CSU Post-season Guide- http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools...o_pdf/2014-15/release/release_20141203aaa.pdf .

As to CSU "players to watch", here is a paragraph from one of their webpages ( http://www.csurams.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/120314aab.html ) as to Mountain West Conference honors for various Rams-
"...
For the sixth-consecutive season, a CSU student-athlete was named the Mountain West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year. Joining Player of the Year Deedra Foss on the all-conference team, junior Adrianna Culbert and senior Kelsey Snider earned their second selections, while senior Marlee Reynolds and junior Jaime Colaizzi were picked for the first time. Culbert, Reynolds and Snider were named to the 18-player All-MW team, while Colaizzi was one of six players recognized as Honorable Mention....

Big crowd already. (A fellow member of the crowd said he'd heard they're expecting 5,000 or so.)

That was a winnable game. Difference was mistakes by the buffs and none by the rams

If we played in Boulder, wouldnt have been close at all. I think it speaks volumes that they are 30-2 and barely able to eak out the win in this set. Really imprssed with how our team is doing. Service errors are a problem but CSU is not as good as they are billed to be.

Who is the annoucner on the live stream? She is horrible. Sounds just like an old glory-days player from CSU. She's just awful.

The double yellow card should have been on their setter (I think it's their setter. #18, the chunky one, I think.)

does anyone have video?

See above.

Not sure where that link was too. I just went to CSUrams.com and clicked on "live streaming". At first it gave me an error message but then it worked.

i clicked that link...3 times... all i see is a blue screen that says ncaa team something and no audio

Are the announcers supposed to be biased to CSU? The guy is at least trying to be balanced. But the woman who is also on the broadcast doesn't even seem to add any volleyball perspective. It seems to me to just be cheerleading for CSU. I hate CSU. Maybe it's just my own bias? : )
