Modster transferred to Tesoro this summer and has had a big start to his junior. He has accounted for 19 total touchdowns and has led his team to a 5-1 start.

He was offered by Arizona a few weeks ago, but expect many more Pac-12 teams to enter the race. While listed as a pure pocket passer by the services, he does seem to be pretty mobile (the Arizona offer would seem to back this assertion).

ASU recently offered and Cal has been in contact. Interested to see how QB recruiting shapes up in 2016.

Recruitment is starting to pick up steam. Three Pac-12 offers already. He has a cousin at CU.

Is his brother still at Boise St?

Yes. Sean Modster, wide receiver. Stuck with Boise State after Pete and his staff left for Washington. In fact, he was one of the most enthusiastic Bronco commits both before and after the old staff left. There's a lot of head scratching in our fanbase as to why we aren't after Devon, who also now has a 4* rating on Scout, a lot harder and why we haven't offered yet. There seems to be a pretty natural connection there given his brother is here.

Who knows? Maybe he's told our staff he isn't interested. Too early to really know.

For right now, Ian Book seems to be the most likely commit at QB for BSU on the year.

If Book was taller, he'd have a bunch of offers. He'll be really good in the right system.

I think so too. He also needs to put on some weight IMO. I think he'll be adding to his offer lists in the months to come unless he commits early.

Back on Modster...

He picked up that BSU offer. He also does mention his brother Sean being a big factor for BSU.

To be honest though, BSU hasn't done particularly well in situations where you have a pair of brothers with one being very heavily recruited and the other not as much. We landed Akilian Butler and Kaleb Hill, but missed out on Josh Butler and Kolin Hill to bigger name schools.

Zona already had a commit from Khalil Tate who was supposed to be a QB for them. If memory serves, they are quite comfortable taking a couple of QBs a class since their guys are always athletic. Interesting nonetheless.

Yeah, Khalil could end up being a RB or WR if he doesn't win the QB job in a few years.

Looks like the 4 predictions on 247 are that he signs with UCLA.

That could create a domino effect that benefits CU.
