We take you now (again) to Eugene OR

I don't think Oregon could really do much better than Altman. He is a good coach considering all the moving parts, transfers, JCs, crimes, etc.

Oregon has all the fancy facilities in the world, but they don't care about basketball, even when they are good.

Exactly. I was watching the post-game tweets last night and as soon as the game was functionally over the general Duck response was, "Oh well. Shift the focus to Monday." I can't discount how huge it is to play for a national championship in football, but there seemed to be very little awareness that they have a home basketball game against ASU on Saturday.

The fact the FBI is investigating something that obscure makes me think someone who knew something blew the whistle.

I actually suspect that someone at the FBI just decided to run a few checks after reading about the big money scandals with the IOC and FIFA. I mean finding this kind of scandal can make someone's career at the FBI. So someone took a casual look and found enough of concern to turn this into an investigation. I would be surprised if funny funds didn't change hands in order to get the award.

Also, hard not to believe things aren't also going on at the NCAA level. It isn't just the facilities and the crowd that caused the NCAA to award the track and field championships for so many years in a row to Eugene. I'd be shocked if large amounts of the green weren't delivered to certain key decision makers

NCAA gave both Altman and Graves a coach control charge. OU is saying the punishment is too harsh.
