Game Thread- Women's Basketball hosting Utah- 7:00 MT

The Buffs start a back to back home and away 2 game series against Utah tonight at the Coors Event Center. Both teams are I'm sure VERY hungry to get their 1st Pac 12 win of the year.

cubuffs.com preview- http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=600&ATCLID=209847413

Also, there is an article of Buff Wing Haley Smith just posted yesterday- http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=600&ATCLID=209847207

A little bit about the Utes from that preview:

"...

Utah is 6-9 overall and looking for its first Pac-12 Conference win of the season. The Utes have dropped their last four and five of their last seven. Utah has yet to crack the 50-point mark during conference play, averaging just 45.5 points over its first four contests. Overall the Utes average 55.3 points per game while hitting 38 percent from the field and 69 percent from the free throw line. Defensively, Utah is allowing its opponents just 56.9 points per game and 36 percent shooting, both numbers ranking third in the Pac-12.

Senior forward Taryn Wicijowski leads Utah with a season double-double at 14.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, numbers that both rank in the top 10 in the Pac-12. Freshman forward Tanaeya Boclair is second on the team in scoring at 8.9 points per game, hitting 44 percent from the floor. Junior guard Danielle Rodriguez tops the Utes and ranks seventh in the Pac-12 in assists at 4.2 per game while pitching in 7.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest. Sophomore guard Paige Crozon averages just under seven points per game and has made 20 3-point field goals on 37 percent beyond the arc.

Looks like a small croud tonight. It is cool that it looks like a big band on hand, though , so hopefully that will help the noise level.

Jamie Swan back in the starting lineup.

Jeebus. #33 for Utah....

I don't see how you could play basketball in college and be that big.

Very close game. Buffs had 4 turnovers in the waning minutes of regulation, otherwise this never would've gone to OT.

Lexy Kresl had a terrific game.

The big girl who plays for Utah was knocking bodies around all night and fouls were not being called on her. When Lexy was in foul trouble, I thought Brecca did a good job at the point and she was hitting.

Lexy did have a great game, career high on points.

I'm hoping this gave the team confidence that will help them at Utah this weekend.

So hard to watch a game with so many fouls. A win is a win though, glad they pulled it out in OT.

With all the fouls that were called, there was no flow to the game and it was difficult for either team to get in a rhythm and hard to watch.
