Hard to tell from highlight tapes what the competition is but he looks like the 4.46 might be legit, also get to that speed fast, like in a step.

Very interesting highlight tape includes some quality defensive plays, special teams coverage, and blocking as well as highlighting him both running the ball and catching it.

Good size with that speed and athleticism means that this kid is probably going to have a lot of offers before it is all over. He might be a contributor for us right away and could do it at a number of positions.

Elk Grove is Sac- no problem with the level of competition.

Jackson's recruiting has really started taking off.

He's added offers from Michigan, Washington State, UCLA and Cal.

Just an FYI, his 7v7 coach is the father of former BSU (and Washington Redskins) cornerback Brandyn Thompson who starred for BSU in the 2010 Fiesta Bowl against TCU. (Defensive MVP of the game with two interceptions - including one for a touchdown - and a third tipped pass that resulted in an interception) Brandyn himself is also one of his 7v7 coaches.

amazing NotCoolJim.

Amazing originality and creativity aside...

This is a recruit thread right? Things like what I posted are relevant information about stuff that could influence the recruit's commitment decision. If Colorado had some sort of similar connection or "in" with a recruit that BSU was after that could possibly sway the recruit's decision, I'd want to know about it.

It's not intended as some sort of "rub it in your face" thing which is I think how you took it. It's more in the spirit of sharing pieces of information that might have an impact. Connections with a recruits coaches are among those things.

Thanks for the info

Blown up just a little bit since he was an unrated guy with offers from CU and Boise State. Damn.
