Has Klayton Adams taken over Poly recruiting for CU?

The above and other tweets by him suggest that he's either covering the gap left by LaRussa's departure or that this is a long-term switch in recruiting.

I believe Klayton had been our Pacific Northwest with some NoCal prior to this.

Will be interesting how this shakes out and whether HCMM hires someone with existing recruiting chops on the islands and with the mainland Poly network or - as he did with LaRussa - has Klayton assigned to develop that network on the job.

Does that #CUin15 indicate a new commit, or does that have to come from a different twitter account?

Didn't he spend some time out there with LaRussa last season? Either way some big time guys in Hawaii this next recruiting cycle.

I like what we've been able to do in NorCal thanks to Adams' relationships carried over from SJSU and worked hard at since he came to CU. I wouldn't want that suffering in exchange for some extra face time on the islands. If we have a California recruiter, and he's one of our better recruiters, we need him there as much as possible. Need a young guy as one of our defensive position coaches to recruit the islands and develop the relationship with players of Islander descent in the West. I would trust Adams to be good at this but don't like the idea of him being overworked just because we have so few recruiters on staff and trust him the most to do good work. And some of our current position coaches in Jeffcoat and Bernardi are not at the age where they'd be at their best coaching while keeping the grueling schedule of long flights over the Pacific to attempt to build lasting relationships in areas with a relative few high schools.

Probably the only willing/available assistant for Hawaii. I imagine the new hire will take over the islands. Adams has enough on his plate with NorCal/JUCO recruiting
