is reporting we've offered. CU was big on him at one point in HS, but then cooled. If I remember correctly, he struggled a bit his Jr year and we decided to go a different way. But hey, this may give me my dream 2013 class after all.

Putting up 18.8 ppg to go with 10.8 rpg. Also dramatically bigger than he was in HS.

More info on him being dismissed from Mizzou - http://www.rockmnation.com/2014/8/9/5984127/missouri-basketball-torren-jones-dismissed

I was a big Torren Jones guy, Goose. I'd love to see him in the program. We need another front court guy in the rotation, too. Torren + Miller would not allow anyone to play soft and keep his minutes.

And it allows Brown to go to prep school instead of enrolling in '15 - which I fully support because of his age.

Good use of the Ski scholarship if we can swing it.

So he'll be a junior next season? If he comes we'll set a world record for the number of players in one class.

Didn't play at Missouri as a frosh in 2014, so he's a RS-Frosh this year. He'll be a soph next season with 3 to play 3. In the class with Dom & Tory.

I think we need a guard more, but no doubt Jones would help us, especially if Scott leaves early

He went to High School in AZ, so hopefully he'd like to play a little closer to home than WV.

C'mon Torren! C'mon to the Black and Gold!!!

Holy crap he's ripped. Would be the biggest guy on the team, no?

Looks like the type of player we need - energy, power and some attitude.

However- he was dismissed from another program for violating team rules, per Goose's article in the profile. Playing a little Devil's Advocate here: should Tad risk another possible locker room problem on top of the current collection of questionably committed players we already have? I mean, it sounds like Haith swung a heavy sword at Mizzou and maybe Torren's dismissal was unwarranted. But Tad's gotta be careful that he doesn't add to an already toxic situation.
That all being said, I hope he's grown up a bit and becomes a Buff...

Tad made it pretty clear in his comments about Kenan that Torren is no longer of much interest.

Fresno State is clearly looking to get back to the Jerry Tarkanian / Chris Herren glory days.

I'm actually surprised that they strayed so far from that. It's the model that works for that school.
