KU shot. I was right behind the basket on the end it went in, just unbelievable. Crazy thst it's been 4 years already....

43 point triple OT win at SC where he refused to lose was another great one

I don't really have a single moment with Ski. Instead, I have a bevy of them, and they are all so similar they've blended together. I think it distills to this:

I can't believe he took that shot! No way it goes... Oh my god, it went in! Yes! Huge! Ice Cold! I can't believe he took that shot!

Charelston Classic toruny MVP.

Pac-12 title (even though he was bad in that game)

what about the Charleston classic where he won that thing singlehandedly or his USC game this year

The KU shot is clearly #1. I don't think there's any way to argue for anything else as his biggest moment as a Buff.

After that, for me it's probably this year's game at USC and the way he put the team on his back. Right up there with Spencer's games at Oregon State/ vs CSU and Alec's game against Missouri. Maybe better.

Blocking the 7 footer going in for the dunk. Being a genuine, humble nice kid that was easy to talk to and would engage in conversation with strangers as if they were friends. He was all in, fearless and never gave up. Will miss him.

The KU shot was amazing but the postgame interview is something that I will always remember about him. The sideline reporter put him right on the spot with a terrible question, "how do you find the confidence to shoot that ball when you've been shooting so poorly all year?" His answer was very humble and he thanked the coaches and teammates. Gotta love that.

There is all the on-court stuff that has been such a joy to watch for 4 years. But I think when I look back on Ski in the future the thing that will stick out for me is how much he cared about things like the starters putting a team away in a potential blowout situation... not for their own glory but because it was what their responsibility was so that the walk-ons could get their minutes. Or how he was so upset to end a season with a home loss because he didn't want to send the seniors out that way. Love Ski.

An outstanding game not yet mentioned was the performance in Tucson earlier this year. 30 points on 11/17 shooting, and taking the lead with XJ and Scott out for the first time. Arizona's post game comments were extremely complimentary. At the time it was Ski's highest scoring game.

The list begins and ends with the KU shot. After that, it's a lot of good stuff, but nothing can compare to that. That's the basketball equivalent of the Miracle in Michigan.

Gonna quote Beau Gamble here from the Ski thing I wrote up this summer:

The best part about being teammates with Ski was that he treated me no different than he treated anyone else. What I mean by that is, it didn't matter if I was guarding him in practice or Andre Roberson was guarding him. He was giving 100 percent effort all the time. When some guys go against walk-ons they see it as an opportunity to rest or not go as hard, Ski saw me as just another dude he was going to get a bucket on. Some guys don't like it when walk-ons play extra tough D or give that extra effort to box out or whatever, Ski loved that ****, I think he respected me more because of it.

The other thing I will remember most from Ski was after my senior night vs Arizona. He was the only one who understood how much worse that game felt for Ben and I. I'll never forget when he gave me a hug in the locker room after that game, and said he was personally sorry for ruining my last game at Coors. Little things like that just showed how much the dude really did care.

The KU buzzer beater and 43 vs. USC, for sure.

Another great memory I have is seeing him @ UW the last 2 years. I was sitting directly behind the CU bench, and the student section is right there (the “Dawg Pound” LOL), literally 25 feet from the CU huddle. Ski was having an awful shooting night, and the students were merciless heckling him at every TO (“You suck Booker!” “Keep shooting, Booker!”). Most 19/20-year-old kids would pretend to ignore it while inside be crumbling. Ski looked at the students, winked and said “OK, sure” … granted, he was horrendous those two games, 3-23 from the field. But he never lost his swagger, and his relentless drive to score however he could. That’s the name of the game, right? Scoring more than your opponent. It’s something we desperately lack on this team … fearless shooters. Ski is one of those. We’ll miss that desperately. He’s one of the great Buffs IMO.

Talked to someone yesterday about this, and they pointed out that Ski has a mental toughness that no one else on the team shares. In fact, there's only one guy who he would put in the category of "mentally tough" on the team with Ski.

Who?

There are so many great ones, but a few that stand out for me:

KU shot (obv)
Baylor & UNLV Games in ABQ
Charleston Classic
USC

Those are just some of the more memorable ones, but you can tell that every time this kid steps on the court you're basically going to have to wheel him off. He gives 110% all the time, and he's been an awesome asset to this team. Personally, I feel bad that his senior year they've been so bad. Some of it is injuries, but he's been on winning/tourney teams every year he's been here except this one. bummer of a way to go out.

only been watching him for two years, but my chief memories of Booker is the guy driving to the bucket through a crowd in the paint with crazy burst speed. I've seen him do that so many times -- finding a seam where there doesn't seem to be one and getting to the hoop before defenders get turned around, all while maintaining control.

That and the way he is able to ball fake, jab step, use cross-overs and pull-backs on the perimeter without losing his pivot foot. If it weren't for help defense, Ski would be unguardable. I'm sure he's ridiculous in those 2-on-2 tourney situations. Just makes defenders look stupid.

Scott is the only other player that comes to mind who is mentally tough like Ski

Scott has allowed frustration with his offensive game (and touches) to get to his head in the past and effect his whole game & attitude. In a way, the back injury this year was a blessing in disguise on that note. Ski had the same type of issue a couple years ago when he had that horrible shooting slump during his sophomore Pac-12 play. But he came out the other end stronger. That's where I think Scott is.

But in terms of who takes it the point of maybe caring too much (and that sometimes getting into his head in a bad way), I'm pretty sure Goose is talking about Dustin. Dustin's the type of personality CU can win with and we need some of that to rub off on some of his teammates.
