Devin Lucien to Transfer

I could see him as the #2 or #3 receiver on our team. Spruce on one side, Lucien on the other, and Fields in the slot. We can dream.

IIRC his interest in CU was mainly due to Bobby Kennedy.

Would be a huge pick up

About 2 weeks prior to signing day that year I was at Pasta Jays and Embree, Kennedy, Sykes and some other dude came in and sat down and I listed in on their conversation. Embree was repeatedly questioning whether he thought he could pull Lucien and Kennedy was CONVINCED it was going to happen due to their relationship. I was so disappointed when it didn't play out that way.

Hopefully Lucien goes on the PRich plan (UCLA->Colorado->2nd round pick). A guy can dream.

We are pretty WR friendly right now.

Pass oriented offense - check.
Proven QB - check
Return all key parts of offense - check
Friendly depth chart at WR - check

One can dream.

Do we have a scholly that would be available? I was thoroughly convinced he was coming here looking through my black and gold skewed glasses.

Meh. He hasn't been very productive in his 3 playing years and everything I see written about him makes me believe Devin is all about Devin. Lots of noise, but didn't deliver. I think CU is fine at WR this coming year and that 'ship can be put to better use.

It's worth a one semester scholarship, the kid's gonna be in prove it mode trying to get to the league.

Strongly disagree. WR depth is highly questionable.

Not only that, but a guy who you know can give you 20-30 receptions at a 15 YPC clip at this level of competition is highly valuable.

Besides that, any time you have an opportunity to enhance the talent of the roster you do it. Especially if it's a case of having a scholarship available and bringing in a senior who won't impact your scholarship numbers for the next recruiting class.

Would be a really really nice pickup considering all the known WR depth issues we have. (redundant, I know)

Why anyone would think this wouldn't potentially help CU is beyond me. No downside here

in general between rivals and here. Wasn't that the main argument people used when we only wound up signing Justin Jan last cycle?

Not sure I saw that here outside of one or two of the newer members, and missed it on rivals.... but I tru not to read the comments on rivals.

Perhaps my perception is just off. idk, just seemed like I read a lot of "we don't need WRs we have Spruce, Bobo, Lee, Ross, etc" to which arguments ensued because some people may not quite have bought into guys like Bobo, Lee, Ross, etc.
