As much as i hate the fuskers their stadium is probably up there because of the atmosphere. Yes i know there isnt anything to do in numbraska but they do have great support for their team... i just threw up a little in my mouth when i typed that.:puke:

No atmosphere compares to a night game in the SEC. I have experienced a couple of Auburn games and both games were simply incredible. If you ever have the chance to make the trip, do it.

Nice to see some Big 12 teams represented. While I am not a fan of Aggy, I would suggest everybody at least see one game at the concrete pet cemetery (we play there next year). Hopefully, it goes better than the last game there.:sad2:

i wonder if he has BEEN IN each of these, or is constructing this completely from bias and tv exposure?

i have watched a game in five of these stadiums...it would be interesting to see who on here has seen games in the most stadiums on this list...

my list is:
la coliseum
falcon stadium
wisconsin camp randall
folsom field
cal memorial stadium

who else has a list?

If by atmosphere you mean cultish, freak behavior and really fake kindness that is disgusting and has no place in a rivalry, then yes stinkoln has a great stadium. Oh and you can't forget tailgating underneath an overpass and the beautiful slabs of concrete that make up that pisshole of a campus. And also the weird skeleton animations on those ****ing video screens. The very definition of hell

They do have an elitest attitude. When i was there, if you didn't follow college football, you would think they invented the game and won just about every MNC. They talk alot of ****. And your right about the campus. It sucks. But you can't knock the stadium. Its amazing imo.

the stadium is a dilapidated piece of **** welded together fourteen times over. there is no congruency because new areas were just slapped on at whatever angle seemed best at the time.

there is an overpass with railroad ****ing tracks nearby.

the elephant museum is pretty nifty. the stadium itself sucks, and the fake people inside are worse. the tunnel walk is idiotic, as are the endless reminders about how great they all are.

This is not a shot at you blaise in any way, but I wish CU had a little more fake people to come to the home games. I am really ****ing sick and tired seeing people show up to the games halfway through the first quarter if they come at all. CU has very very fickle ass fans. And dont give me that **** about how much other **** there is to do in colorado. There are only what 6 home games? and we cant even fill up the stadium. I love CU. And i am sure most of the people here at allbuffs.com support our Buffs. But i am sick of these fickle fans not coming to the games to support our buffs. Even if CU loses every ****ing game i will still have my ass up there in the stands supporting my team! GO BUFFS!

Ugh, that place is a ****hole. I have no desire to ever go back to that place.

Folsom
Air Force
Memorial(Stinkoln)
The Big House(michigan)
Texas

The louest was the corn. Texas is too spread out imo, and the big house fans out so the sound just goes up. Was very dissapointed with the big house as far as noise goes.

I've seen college games at:

Folsom Field
Air Force Stadium
Sheep****er Field
****hole, USA (Lincoln)
Armpit, USA (Norman)
Sun Devil Stadium
The Stadium formerly known as Joe Robbie Stadium (Pro Player Park, now?)
The old Mile High Stadium
INVESCO Field at Mile High

The first two are great places to watch a game. The rest on my list suck ass.

Stincoln is a flat out horrible place to watch a football game. The stadium is all cut up so that you can't easily get from one part to the next without jackassing your way through a tunnel here, a hallway there - gah. Something like half of the seats are outside the goallines. It's awful. I've been there three times. The weather is usually crappy. The parking is non-existent.

The old Mile High Stadium sucked ass? What????

Ive always enjoyed games at Falcon Stadium, the fly overs are the bomb. Especially when they are playing another service academy, I highly suggest everyone checking it out if they can.

Definitely. I saw the Army game a couple years ago with a good friend that graduated from West Point. Very cool atmosphere.

For a college game, yes. For Broncos, it was teh allsome. Especially in the South stands during a playoff game.

:yeahthat:

I miss the old south stands at Mile High. Or at least the people and the atmosphere. The stands themselves kind of sucked ass... :sad1:

I will say that Memorial Stadium in Lincoln is not very fan friendly as far as getting to food areas and getting out of the stadium very easily.

Never went to Mile Hi but I do know it wasn't on the list of top 25 college stadiums. I know this is Allbuffs ("home of the thread jack") but let's keep on topic people :smile2:

True post.... the stadium is cobbled but it is home, in fairness to NU the original portions of the stadium (east and west) are on the national register of historic buildings, so they are very limited in the types of alterations that are allowed, and it was also the reason the other portions were never added directly, it is something like 70% of the seats are outside the 20 yard line, its very odd. the press box and suites (west) are actually a separate structure that cantilevers over the old one, not touching it in any way. True it does have a very cobbled look as the additions were not architecturally beautiful by any means and they all function more as separate buildings rather than one complete stadium. I am use to it, I don't mind the flaws and they now have far to much sunk into it to build a new one. the point you make about the railroad tracks is very true, although at one time those tracks were a main artery, bringing fans from both directions (Omaha and the boonies, my Dad use to come to the games in this manner) and dropping them off in what is now the haymarket district. What was once a major consideration to locate the stadium where it is, is now an eyesore. Lincoln is still a glorified farm town when it comes to their infrastructure, try going from east to west through town..... you cant, it takes longer than Omaha, stop light after stop light, its freaking pathetic. The self advertising is what it is, 5 NC's, 20 something conf champs and an athletic department always in the top 5 overall and annually ranked in several other sports.... it does get tiresome, but hey, CU does have bowling and skiing :wink2: .... at least the fake people inside are there 77k strong every game:thumbsup: . Hopefully when the south and east sides are redone it will look better but they are still working on paying off the north end and with all the bad blood Stevie P has stirred up, those projects are much farther away now more than ever.

Gotcha. Invesco is even worse for the college games. I was up on the top level a couple years. Nothing like the feeling that you could fall down a long ways if you take one wrong step. Those seats are steep as **** (drinking doesn't help).

Yep, I hate that. I fell down into the row below me and landed on a bunch of people at the AFC Championship game a couple years ago. Not fun. :sad1:
