Why would you sit 2nd string QB at any P5 School and not go be a starter at CU?

Do you think the 3rd string QB at Bama is better than what we have here? Why would you want to ride the pine instead of coming to Colorado where you can immediately start most likely?

You should be sorry you are saying this. I have major issues with Sefo's turnovers, but he's a starter for at least 2-3 other Pac 12 schools and I would argue not much difference to Alabama's QB last year. Alabama's average QB play kept them from being better than they were last year. Okay average is strong, Sims wasn't awful but he wasn't special.

Because you will probably eventually start after the upperclassmen graduate.

You're already at your dream school that you rooted for as a kid.

You're already getting a free education.

There are other schools with worse QB situations that would be "easier"

You would have to sit out a year transferring and still wouldn't be playing.

Care for more examples?

Why be a poster at buffscoop when you can be a thread starter at allbuffs?

Plenty of 4 year starters. This could go either way.

Speculative.

Equivalent if you played for the Buffs

In the P5? Can't be many worse off then the buffs. ( I don't hate Sefo, just can't stand the turnovers)

Or sitting on the bench

To the bolded, using our great quote function. Like it or not, Sefo will probably be the starter the next couple of years, meaning he will have started for about 3.5. I will not say at this point he is one the elite of the PAC, but our team has far bigger needs than a starting QB, he has shown he is at least cappable and at worst our best starting QB since Joel Klatt. Offseason threads suck.

Why come to a loser school? Why leave a school where you have a legit shot at a NC? Why leave all your friends? Or girlfriend? Or family if they are close? Or if it's your dream school?

Lots of reasons to stay...

Dat Phan. Dat you?

Great players are not afraid of competition.
Exactamundo. Fans always question why a kid would go to, say, USC just to sit on the bench. Most recruits don't think that way and, of course, the coaches don't sell the program to them that way. Kids believe they are better than the other guy and will win the job and the coaches don't tell them anything otherwise.

Too risky to change.

Sefo lost because he was forced into a situations where winning the game was on his shoulders because we had such a crappy defense. I expect his vision to have improved and I hope to god the defense is better this year.

Changing who is qb is unlikely to have affected the outcome very much. Most likely we'd be calling for Sefo to be put back in as starter.

I wanted him put back in after the 2nd offensive series in the UO game...

Put Sefo in at QB with Alabama and I'd bet we would be clamoring for him to come to CU.

He was a sophomore....and improved from his freshman year....probably being a little harsh to suggest that he was the main problem on the team last year don't ya think

Connor Wood, anyone? 4* and #3 QB in the country (Rivals) coming out of HS, couldn't hold our current QB (who was a true Freshman) from taking the starting job.
