Better know a noncon: Colorado State

He lead the nation in receiving last year. That was not a fluke.
I don't care that he lead the nation, he had one game where he was >100 yards receiving that game against P5 competition and one of those was when Utah was beating the hell out of them forcing them to throw

No one is saying he should be the first receiver taken in the draft next year, just that he is a very good receiver and a weapon of theirs that we have to focus on. I hope Crawley is up for it.

That big time WR had 1 reception for 16 yards and a TD last year...yawn

Higgins is special. Big question mark on whether the new QB will be able to get him the ball. We're almost certainly looking at a significant step down from Grayson. No program replaces a high draft pick senior QB without skipping a beat. Certainly not any program outside the super elites.

Well the Sporting News has him as a First Team All-American, but I'll take your word for it. I mean you were spot on with your evaluation of CSU last year.

I'm well aware of where he is in the preseason rankings, but I don't care. Show me you can ball out against P5 teams and I'll take you seriously. Right now, all I see is a stat sheet heavily padded against the likes of UNLV, Wyo, UNM, UCD, etc. 16 receptions 224 yards and 3 TD's in 3 games against P5 schools compared to 80 receptions 1526 yards and 14 TDs...

So your way to discredit Higgins' play is to show that he averaged 75 yards and a touchdown when he played a level up?? Interesting strategy. I wonder what Spruce's averages were against P5?

The point is that his stats are extremely padded and is not deserving of all the hype he is getting. Is he a good player? Sure. Would I like for him to start across from Spruce? Yes. Do I think he's this big time WR who we should all fear and be terrified of going HAM against us? Hell no.

Not in the first half. First half they tried to throw the ball.

KC did some work in that game. That's the main reason I'm not too worried. CU's got a CB to cover Higgins who may very well be drafted ahead of Higgins.

Plus a experienced DL and LB's who should be able to put pressure on the QB and a stud S in Tedric with a 6th year returning starter.

a little simplistic here 'Tini. All-pros can get skunked when their team is overmatched. The QB is getting less time to throw and everything is off. Its not like its just the WR vs a CB.

The kid was good and he got doubled a lot.

Don't tell this to Slider. He'd have you think CSU was ready to compete for a Pac 12 Championship
