i went over the huskerpedia this AM just for kicks, and the first time in a LOOONNNG time....tried to post and it told me i'd been banned for reason: "none" and the ban would be lifted "never".

i don't even remember what i did....musta been good!

I was banned there a long time ago for nothing as well. If you don't kiss their asses all the time they get a little pissy.

I read that board about once a month. It just so happened that I went there today. The thread about our new uniforms is hilarious.

Just kicked around that board I love husker fans, they can be so dilusional, how do they not see cally is on the hot seat this year and that thieir expectations have been lowered?

They'll be happy with 9 wins a big 12 north title and a secondtier bowl, that used to be a rebuilding year in husker-land

It will be hilarious to see what they think of the players wearing the new uniforms when CU kicks their husker asses in Folsom this November.

bighuskerfan.com is the best of the NU sites but that is still not saying much, Husker sites are not a lot of fun unless you are willing to be part of the blind herd. Basically if you decent you are bbq'ed. Had a little fun rousting the brethren about CU (Creighton) hoops and baseball, even just the class the CU AD carries himself with.... and the posts eventually get deleted but no banning... I swear there are several people over there related to Irish from the bad CU site.
Even as a Husker FB fan, this site rocks, free speech rules and it is self-policing.

Care to extend the avatar wager?

I'll let ya know midway through the season, but the fuskers are gonna be just another mediocre team coached by a moron, while CU will be a rebounding team with revenge on their minds. I like CU's chances against NU this year, but we shall see how each team does.

Sam Keller is gonna be a big time flop for you guys IMO. I see the fuskers falling apart with a lack of leadership and just a bunch of guys with big ego's.

Is there any way we can get Waylon to provide an avatar that is much more fun to look at for the remainder of your current payout?

Yeah when is that "revenge game" against Montana St anyways?! NU will break it off in Hawks ass again this year. That raw raw bull**** Hawkins spews out may work in the WAC but it aint gonna work in the BIG 12 "BROTHER". Hey..it's never too early to start the 07 season **** talking! But in all honestly I think CU will do better then some may think.

wow this loser on *uskerpedia actually wrote out like three pages of the bull**** he does before each game.

here's a few excerps:

"2. Eat a bowl of cereal, two pieces of toast, and have a glass of milk."

"10. As I'm entering the stadium, I say a prayer for the Huskers to fight, play hard, and to never give up while facing their opponent for the day. I say a prayer for all the servicemen and women, family, and loved ones. I say a prayer for the big guy up above to let the ball bounce the Husker way that day. And I say a prayer thanking the man above for allowing me to be here to witness all that has transpired throughout the day."

"11. Now, before I find my seat, I must go potty first, get a Fairbury Huskerdog, a slice of Valentino's pizza, and a botte of water. Once I do this, I'm officially set to get the game on. I love watching the stands fill up. They players warming up, and then exiting the field so the band can get the crowd geared for the hair-raising, tear-producing event that is about to take place next."

"13. Gametime. Once the fans have calmed a bit, they take a breath, take their last bite of a Runza, drink some soda or water, and prepare themselve's for the following 60 minutes of Husker football. No matter how the game is played, or the outcome to come of it, Nebraska will cheer on their team through and through until the last player or coach has exited the stadium. And if it is to be decided that Nebraska was not to come out victorious that particular day, then her loyal fans will cheer on the opposing team, knowing there will come a time to rectify that day's losing battle."

man, what a douchbag

Whats wrong with some **** talking? NU is not that good and CU will be better, that is a fact right there!
At least I don't have a male pronstar as my avatar. Oh wait I can't talk much about avatars right now.

They will lose 3 to 5 games at most. They will be alot of the same I think; unpredictable, mediocre, poor play calling, flashes of greatness.

i agree with Miami, i think they'll be a lot like last year record wise---in the Cotton, Alamo, Holiday hunt.

i find it interesting that on this board and other conference boards that seem to be recently overrun with Bugeater posters, very few NU fans talk about what they lost on D but prefer to crow about Keller.....and pretty much just all about Joe Montana (errr, Keller)--in addition to the samo samo Callahan invented football and recruiting kool-aid line

yeah they lost their whole D-line and d-line coach, loosing Carricker especially is going to hurt them, and don't they still have that corner back that got abused by USC?

And I think Hawk and CU will be ready for their little trick plays this time around.(Which is the only way they broke from a 14-14 tie late in the third last year).

Grixby.

edit: insofar as it's possible, our bugeater posters are OK, consistent, and show up. my post above reads like that they just started here. that's not the case. on other conference boards, particularly North boards, Bugeater is really starting to run their mouths....and rarely in anything but predictable ways.

Very true.... coaching ability I think is a wash, Blake was an outstanding recruiter and a players favorite. The D-line lost a ton, there is no way they will be as solid as last year but they were 2 deep at most positions, they will be a good D line and better as the year goes on. corners could be a weakness, again a ton of young talent but will those players be able to hit the field early?.... doubtful. The time to play NU this year is early, Wake, Nevada, USC are getting NU at the right time, come B12 NU should be getting better. Next year IMO will be the true time expectations become warranted, there will be talent and depth at QB, O-line, D-line, D backs with good recruit classes following them up. the 08 class looks very good thus far. The HC still has the ability to screw it up but I hope for the best.

edit... now if I were to post this at an NU board the natives would be swarming.

we do not award brownie points for reasonable outlooks that border on the overly optimistic. nebraska did not show anything last year with which to demonstrate they are "improving". at best, they WERE the least tardish of a weakass north conference.

the d was a blessing for you last year, and still it was not enough. bugs lost significantly d wise, to boot. 2 deep minus losses equals starting to become paper thin.

have any husker greats decided to reverse their attitude towards cally and embrace him? if not, this might be a LONG year of football.

me, on the other hand, i am looking forward to this season. even the most idiotic sports nut could see the buffs were improving each game last year. they said spring game last year to this year was "night and day" difference. THAT is a metric one must use before they can hope for a better product.
