One of my favorite players. Hope this is a one-time thing and he pulls it together.

CU Buffs head coach Mike MacIntyre released a statement on Frazier's arrest Monday.

"We certainly don't condone George's actions, of which he is taking full responsibility for, nor do we approve of minors in possession," MacIntyre said in the statement. "We have strict team policies against this kind of behavior and his discipline will be handled internally."

Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Disappointing, too.

As I just posted on Rivals, I'd assume that most of us are living in glass houses on this topic and have at least one bad decision night in our pasts.

Glad no one was hurt. Hope he learns from it.

Disappointing for sure but I'm glad it didn't end up being worse (for him or for anyone else on the road).

can he tell the judge that he was just texting?

Sucks. Bad. 3 weeks ago I was thinking we may go all offseason without losing any players. Now two starters gone.

Next man up.

It would be good to see Frazier back on the field some day.

Yes but unless there has been a history of alcohol related issues at CU it shouldn't bee too bad. Alcohol classes, random breathalyzers, etc..

holy ****. seriously? they actually impose classes and random breathalyzes and such at the student court level????? this is SO much different than when i was in school. i know it was ancient times, but unless you killed someone or did something ON CAMPUS that involved campus cops, no one even knew if you had a dui, or open container, or similar such things.

random breathalyzers. like the government isn't going to do enough to him if they convict?

Yeah my buddy got an mip the first weekend at school in 2009 because he got caught pissing on the hill and then got caught drinking in the dorms and had to do random tests about twice a week.

There has to be a difference between getting busted by Boulder Police vs campus police, no?

GF was busted by the BPD.

Why is it a one game suspension everywhere else when no charges are filed?

And I've never hit anyone

IDK that it is a 1 game suspension everywhere else but that's them and this is Boulder. It's obviously not the same rules and it's been that way for awhile now. RG seemed to think the punishment for the crime but maybe he had to say that. Players and coaches are going to figure out how to play by the Boulder rules if they want success because it seems to me that its not a win at all costs for anyone but the team and fans. I do recall that Ohio State had to fire the coach and dismiss players for trading gear for tattoos

BPD sends every ticket to CU to see if the person is a student or not. If you are, you'll receive punishment from the school on top of legal punishment. It sucks.

Well, based on this info I'm suddenly glad I'm old. I can't remember how many Saturday's I spent in that ****ty hotel in Longmont taking that horrible class but I wasn't subjected to this silly **** by the school so LDH for the Win!!

That is seriously ****ed up. The only off campus stuff that I recall landing you in school trouble was Greek system stuff or away games or stuff somehow involving CU in some way other than being a student alone.

**** if companies disciplined employees for every bad act that has nothing to do with the company the workforce would be much smaller.

I get bar associations and the military having more jurisdiction over their members but a university ?

Fighting the party school rep

And we we have a winner.

the school wants to shed that reputation so badly that we get complete over reactions to these kinds of infractions. Nobody is saying DUI isn't a big deal, but rather the punishment should fit the crime. And yes, we have all been there.

Buffson got one, hurt him when he got to the no fun league. Recall he got to spend a semester home after the Fiesta Bowl.

It's not really fighting a party school rep it is just trying to prevent stupidity. If you don't pee outside in public and you don't carry booze in your hand when going to or from a party you can do whatever you want to. Cu doesn't give a **** if you party they just don't want you to be a retard when doing it.

You realize we put ourselves at a competitive disadvantage against every other school in the p12 with this draconian **** right? I'm not advocating stupid behavior but there ought to be some reasonable balance between the punishment and the crime especially when the justice system is involved

I gotta say, I don't know if the local PD would do that anywhere else in the country. I don't have a problem with guys getting arrested/fined for dumb stuff, but to call up the school so they can leverage some extra penalties on the kid? That's ****ed up.
