We're Number One! (Hey, that really rolls right off the tongue!)
Athlon asked some experts to rank the best towns in the Pac-12.

Boulder, Colo. If you like the college town lifestyle, then there are few places in the world more perfectly suited for you than Boulder.

Just north of Denver, the great outdoors offer more to do than nearly any place in the country. It got six of the possible 10 first-place votes.

Craft brews are plentiful, the people are laid back and the scenery is second to none. When it comes to realignment, few towns fit in better with their new league than Boulder.

Wow that wasn't even close we scored 15 pts and the next three towns had points in the 40s.

Edit: seems like an oddly similar score line to the actual football games. But low points are good here so, we win

Yeah if you like dodging the homeless on the way to your favorite obnoxious coffee shop when its raining, which is always!

There's a reason Seattle has a higher suicide rate----its called "No sunshine!"

And why my least favorite of all the music genres hails from Seattle. F.

You've never been to Seattle in September then. It is glorious.

I can't believe how down on Seattle some of you guys are. It is a spectacular city, and isn't nearly as gloomy as is being led on. Beautiful lakes and water, awesome downtown, mountains a short skip away.

My Seattle friends like the "it rains all the time myth." It keeps people from moving there.

we've have glorious weather since Mid-May.

Boulder has had glorious weather since mid 1876... just sayin'.

What I don't get is the desperate need to defend Seattle.

I don't think anyone has really tried to argue that Seattle sucks. I mean, it ain't Boulder, but no other place is.

I'm not sure anyone is desperately defending it any more than you're desperately disparaging it.

Note to self: never mention how hot Kate Upton is in front Fight CU - he will think I'm calling his wife ugly.

You do realize these are poor attempts at humor, right?

Because I find it hilarious how sensitive people who live in Seattle are about their city. I don't even want to know what would happen if I started talking about their kin.

There's so many ways to go with this, and they all end in [strike] the island [/strike] Casa Bonita.

ok

Saying that Seattle isn't as nice as Boulder, in part due to the rain, isn't exactly a slam on Seattle. It is still a very nice place and ahead of most of the rest of the PAC cities, including some pretty nice ones.

The rain would bug me but that is because I am from Colorado and don't like humidity or to many rainy days, this year here has bugged me.

Bigger issue for me with Seattle is the same thing that Denver and Phoenix are dealing with, it has grown to big to fast. Boulder can be crowded but escape is never more than 15-20 minutes away. Seattle has become congested and full of big city problems.

Also highlights our move from the B12 to the PAC12. If you listed all the college towns from each conference together and ranked them how many B12 towns would rank above even one PAC12 town? Not many

Yeah I don't live in Boulder so the traffic getting around town and getting to Boulder if awful but I will say, if you live within the city limits it is fantastic and that is what I miss most about it. Everything is really close and there are so many different ways to get places than by car so the traffic never bothered me. I envy those who live there a ton.
