I wrote all of this so you BETTER READ IT! :wink2:
I have been working on this project off and on the last couple weeks, and this isn' it. I have plenty of more to come including a preview of our own Colorado Buffaloes. I took my black and gold shades off for this, and this is ttally unbiased and under my pure opinion based off a lot of factors that I read for each team.

1.LSU The tigers lose star QB JaMarcus Russell to the NFL but, return 8 starters on a very good defense from 2006. A very favorable schedule has LSU primed for a title run.
2.USC 16 returning starters, a veteran senior QB, and the entire two deep could probably start on almost any other team in the country has the Trojans ready to play for the national title for the 4th time in the last five years.
3.MICHIGAN A favorable schedule with all their big games at home with the exception of a tough trip to Wisconsin, has the Wolverines ready for another big season. Expect the Wolverines to get past Ohio St for the first time in four years.
4.OKLAHOMA Last year OU lost their starting QB in the car dealership scandal before the season even started. I didn’t expect OU to do much after that. Then a controversial loss to Oregon and the loss of Adrian Peterson, I was ready to stick a fork in them. I give Bob Stoops props for coaching his team to a Big 12 title despite all the bad breaks. OU will be a national title contender this year if they get the breaks.
5.WEST VIRGINIA Another team that had some bad breaks with injuries late in the season last year. A favorable schedule has the Mountaineers primed for a Big East title and possibly more.
6.VIRGINIA TECH After the shooting tragedy this past spring at VT, the Hokies will be the sentimental favorites this college football season. They return 16 starters and have both Miami and Florida State at home. They do have to go to LSU in non-confrence play, which will be their toughest of the year.
7.GEORGIA Last year was a down year for the Dawgs. They lost four games and should have lost a fifth to Colorado. They did turn on towards the end of the season with wins over Auburn, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. That momentum will carry to ’07 and expect the Dawgs to be back to their old selves again.
8.FLORIDA The champs lost a lot from last years national title team, and it will be hard for them to repeat. However they could still be a contender if the breaks go their way. They do face a tough road schedule, expect a tough Gator team that will challenge Georgia for the SEC East.
9.WISCONSIN The Badgers return 16 starters, and will be strong once again after an impressive 12-1 record last year. They do have to face Ohio St and Michigan in consecutive weeks. Last year they avoided Ohio St.
10.TEXAS The horns had to replace Vince Young last year, but did still manage to beat their rival OU in the red river shootout for the second straight year. Colt McCoy comes into this season with more experience on a talent loaded team. The Big 12 south should come down to the Red River shootout once again, but Texas A&M might have something to say about that for the second straight year.
11.OHIO STATE The Buckeyes have been one of the most successful teams this decade, and ’07 should be another good year in Columbus despite losing most of their offense to the NFL. Don’t expect a return trip to the title game, as this year will be very tough for them to beat arch rival Michigan.
12.HAWAII The Rainbows are this years version of Boise St, as they have a favorable schedule, a potent offense led by a Heisman candidate, primed to go undefeated and become the third non-BCS program to go to a BCS bowl. The others were Utah in 2004 and Boise St in 2006.
13.FLORIDA STATE Not the powerhouse they used to be, the Seminoles are still a potent team that could still contend for a title if the break go their way. They do face a tough schedule, but should still be solid.
14.WAKE FOREST The Deacs had a dream season last year winning the ACC and going to the Orange Bowl. They do return 9 starters from offense to go along with a favorable schedule. They have a home game with Florida State which could decide the Atlantic division.
15.GEORGIA TECH Despite losing star WR Calvin Johnson to the NFL, the Jackets should still be a solid team. They have two tough road games to Notre Dame and Miami, but they do get Virginia Tech and Georgia at home.
16.RUTGERS A powerful running game led by Ray Rice will once again have Jersey shooting for a solid season for the third straight year. They have a big home matchup with West Virginia that could decide the Big East. A tough trip to Louisville for the season finale.
17.ARKANSAS The Hogs won the SEC west last year with probably the best running back in college football in Darren McFadden. McFadden will lead once again and be a serious Heisman candidate. Look for another solid season, but LSU is too strong for the Hogs to repeat in the west.
18.MISSOURI I’m picking the Tigers to win the big 12 north because they have 9 starters coming back on a good offense including the best QB in the Big 12 in Chase Daniel, who could be a Heisman candidate. They have a favorable schedule, including Nebraska at home.
19.SOUTH CAROLINA Steve Spurrier has been recruiting lights out, and in his third year, expect the Cocks to make some noise more than just a bowl game this year. This will be a very good team, but they do face a tough road schedule.
20.UCLA 20 starters returning from a Bruin team that upset cross town rival USC last year tells me the Bruins are for real this year.
21.TCU 9 starters returning to a tough defense makes the Frogs the clear cut MWC favorites. A tough game at Texas could prevent the frogs from an unbeaten season.
22.TEXAS A&M The Aggies have been underachievers so far under Fran. Loaded with talent, but unpredictable. The Aggies have a tough road schedule, but it is time to put up for Francione. Last seasons victory at Texas might have saved his A&M job, but he will have to do better this year.
23.OREGON The Ducks welcome back Heisman candidate Jonathon Stewart who is a threat at running the ball and as a returner. They do get USC at home, which could decide the PAC-10.
24.ALABAMA 9 starters returning on offense to go along with picking up one of the best coaches in football in Nick Saban. The Tide will improve greatly each year that Saban is in Tuscaloosa, the big question is how long will he stay in town?
25.OREGON STATE The Beavers return 16 starters from last years 10 win season, but they do face a much tougher road schedule this year.
26.TENNESSEEThe Vols have a tough road schedule the first two months of the season, but should still be a solid team.
27.LOUISVILLE Rich Rodriguez is gone, but another good coach comes in in Steve Kragthorpe,. It will once again come down to Louisville, Rutgers and West Virginia battling for the Big East. The Cardinals also have Heisman candidate Brian Brohm leading them.
28.NEBRASKA The Huskers have shown slight improvement every year under Bill Callahan, but they are still not back to elite status and the only thing that will get me to rank them higher will be two things 1. They beat a top 10 program 2. They start being more consistent on the road. Both have been few and far between under Callahan. They do welcome Sam Keller to make a smoother transition from Zac Taylor, but they only return 5 starters from last years good defense.
29.NOTRE DAME The Irish got exposed in last years Sugar bowl, and until they win a bowl game, I don’t see them as being a BCS worthy program. They face a tough road schedule, but do get USC in South Bend.
30.AUBURN A tough road schedule will see a slight decrease in wins compared to the last several years at Auburn. However they will still be strong.
