RG going on AM1190 - they want questions from Allbuffs

Allbuffs just got a mention to kick off the broadcast. Please send in questions, guys.

Either to the email in the tweet above or you can tweet to either @JoeParris or @A_G_Haubner

Hey! I said I was DBT from Allbuffs! They didn't use my name! Anyway, I asked the future upgrade question.

I'll be tuning in every Friday night at 6pm. This is -- BY FAR -- the best radio program for Buffs fans. Love hearing educated hosts talking Buffs.

Great guests tonight, too. Not just RG, but a rep from the Pac-12 talking in depth about the licensing deals and whatnot. This show is exactly what I've been looking for.

Did he mention what he's going to do with all that extra coin from directv?

Really good response to DBT's question. He talked about improvements inside the stadium, to the west side (including Balch), and relocating soccer & TF fields after the East Campus project takes those properties. Replay is supposed to be up tomorrow. Watch their tweets 'cause they said they'd post the link.

Not really. They did talk a lot about increasing the revenue with both the DTV deal (if it happens) and their upcoming media (radio I think) contract. But I'd expect they would use the extra money for salaries, improvements, operations, stipends, etc. Just the overall budget. BTW, he did say not to expect any new sports for quite a while.

Yeah. He said 3-5 years before he's looking at new sports. Got to get projects done and all sports funded to the level he wants them (within balanced budget) before adding more sports. Of course, if football starts winning it pretty much changes all budget numbers.

Yeah. I spoke to him a month or so ago and he mentioned new sports aren't happening for a while. Talked to him a bit about men's lax, but he said it was low on the priority list for now. We talked a lot about the need for continued improvements. The dude just plain understands exactly what CU needs. We are fortunate. I really hope we make some noise on the football field this year. Great things are happening and we are due!

Edit. Like you wrote Nik, we talked a lot about the lost revenue with football. Filling that stadium plus Directv would be huge.

Good point on football and revenue generation. It will be much better when we start winning.

Woot! Wrestling!

I think one of the things he should really focus on with the next facilities upgrade is an athletics dorm. It would be a game changer and with all the changes planned for the north side of campus it is definitely possible.

You mean "athletic dorm". I think there's an NCAA rule that says it has to be under 50% scholarship athletes or something. But I totally agree.

we're going to win.

2015 football: return to competency
2016 football: top 25 all year
2017 football: compete for championships

that's my roadmap. it is always the sunniest right before the season kicks off. GO BUFFS!
