Biggest Improvements are from Week 1 and 2

I can say with confidence that we look like a different team today! After last thursday, I was worried but felt that this team had to be better. I'm actually watching today from Hawaii and if the weather was anything close to what it was last week, it is hot as hell out here. Not making excuses for the loss but the weather and time change is probably the biggest home field advantage in college football. So great to see us win a game and rest the starters! Bring on the sheep ****ers! Go Buffaloes!

It's never as bad as it seems after a loss and it's never as good as it seems after a win. CU, for whatever reason, was just unprepared last week and had too many errors to overcome. They are not as bad of a team as they showed.

On the flip side, we just smoked a pretty bad UMass team at home. Great confidence builder and a nice way to fine tune some things, especially on the OL, but CSU is a far better team than UMass. Looking forward to next week.

Looks like we need to stick to basics. Slam that rock down their throats! I love some smash mouth foosball!

Biggest improvement? Focus. Very few mistakes. We're a decent team but not good enough to overcome a lot of errors.

I counted at least 4 Touchbacks and another that was 8 yards deep that was brought out. Not sure what you were watching.
5 out of 9 for touchbacks, better than I thought I guess. Maybe it's the opening kickoff that only made it to the 5 that's sticking out in my head.

Sometimes they are instructed to kick short. Could have been that.

Other than the shank from the punter, our kicking today was solid. Kinney had some serious hang time on most punts

Outside of the bs targeting call, bs pass interference call, and mop up duty, I can't recall many penalties either. Nice to see that were done with the pre snap / bonehead nonsense!

Honestly. We committed and stayed committed to the running game this week. That's the difference I see. Oh, and probably a lot less mental mistakes.

Our first 4 plays were passes. We didn't come in to this planning to run the ball down their throats, Lindgren just saw it was working and adjusted, IMO.

Just run the damn ball. This team has looked, at worst, competent running the ball in both games this year. Being able to run the ball is an absolute advantage in football. Would love to see the tables turned on CSU next week with another dominant rushing performance.

I think next week will make or break our season. If we lose, we come out 2-2 at best in the first four. If we win, we can salvage week 1 by going 3-1.

Csu is a solid team again, and a win would be a great thing.

Still not excited we gave a scholarship to a kickoff specialist that can't get it into the endzone.
Whaaaaa the F88K are you drunk-talking about? Even when the ball didn't get to the 'zone the coverage was good enough to stop UMASS short of the 25--- as they did against UH last week! Short kick-offs are the new sucker play.

You're a whiner! If I want whining I'll go talk to my wife!

50 rushes in game one
59 in game two

Some of those were pass plays where Sefo got sacked or took off, but even with that it's still a major shift toward being a running team.

Keep doing it. Physically smashing the other team down and getting yards at will just drains the other team mentally and physically. I like that.

I really hope that we're establishing a true identity as a running team and not just falling back to running because we don't have any other choice. I love old school right-at-em football. We'll find out a lot more of the truth this week. I'm skeptical but there is always hope

For the first time in a long time, I saw guards pulling and trapping against U Mass. Frazier was a bulldozer as well.

I say run the same play until they stop it. Then go to the other side and repeat.

8th in the nation in rushing yards per game currently.

Pound the rock. We obviously don't have the same talent as Stanford had under harbaugh, but I want that same mentality for this team. Run it down their throats until they prove they can stop it. Put 9 on the line and run the damn ball.

Seemed like pulling the guard was a staple against UMass. Will be interesting to see what happens this week.
