CU's game day app - audio delay

CU pushes a gameday app to be used on smartphones. And it has game audio. But it lags real gameplay by a significant amount.
Anyone else try this and experience it?
Not impressed.

I typically use TuneIn radio on iOS and it also has a significant (1 min+) delay. Possibly could be intentional so as to encourage users to prefer the real 850KOA broadcast (which has its own advertising).

I just received an email back from the support side of the app developer acknowledging issues and indicated they will be corrected.
Next game tomorrow in Denver. I've had horrible luck there in the past just getting a decent mobile data connection. Hopefully that has been resolved with a push by Broncos/League to enhance fan mobile interaction through various social media venues. That all requires good connectivity through the various mobile signal companies.

Any internet site or smartphone app playing radio that I have ever listened to has an appreciable lag.

If you watch the game at home and have a DVR, you can pause, and through trial and error attempt to get the same delay going on your TV, but I think that is the only work-around you are likely to find.

tsar, I understand that. But if CU is pushing a "Gameday app", for use AT the game, they need to figure out the technologies so that feeds are synced live. They pushed out a new version of the Gameday app and brag that one of the enhancements is the "live audio stream" is more available on all sections of the app screens.

Actually I loved the delay. During away games I would put the radio broadcast on my computer, record the game and line it up with the TV. Made the game much more enjoyable.

I agree with this. The game day app has been a huge disappointment for me on many levels. Not the least of which is the fact that there isn't any wifi in the stadium, so the connection is extremely slow.

It's times like these where it'd be a good idea to buy a $15 radio from Amazon. I have one. Works well. It won't drain your cell phone battery and doesn't use any data. Low tech is sometimes the best tech.
