Good-

CU wins a game they wouldn't have last year
Sefo didn't throw an INT
We have a Devon Ross sighting
Shay Fields is lightning fast

Bad-

if CU had a better QB the game would have never gone to OT
special teams once again (won't put as ugly...as csu's was worse)
lots of wounded Buffs...thank God they play Nichols State next

Ugly-
run defense gave up over 200 yards on the ground
tackling
lack of a pass rush
officiating (why assign same crew we saw in Hawaii ?)
students lack of any class from both schools

While this crew was bad in the Hawaii game, I have to say, that as I looked at the calls and the replays that they only made one bad call last night (When Sefo stretched for the first down they should have marked the ball MUCH closer to the line). Otherwise CU just shot itself in the foot, A LOT.

Wow.... Apparently you didn't watch the illegal pick on CSUs 4th down conversion.... And more importantly, the review that didn't mark the CSU runner out at the 47 yard line .... Yet instead gave cSU the ball 15 yards closer to the endzone!!!

Yeah, officiating sucked. Whatever, don't have to see that crew for the remainder of the year. Now on to the PAC 12 ****ty officiating!

Buffs got manhandled in the trenches and I don't really recall our defensive line making any noticeable plays where we were getting any push. Our QB missed that wide open Pass down the middle. Tackling was terrible. Our defensve backs played 10 yards off the wide receivers. What I don't understand about Mac is that yes you should give the players credit for fighting back but you need to tell the truth that you got manhandled in the trenches and have a lot of work to do

Good
-Team rallied and completed a comeback
-Sefo made plays to win
-Defense continues to force turnovers

Bad
-Wide receivers having issues getting separation on short and intermediate routes

Ugly
-Rush defense is going to be an issue all season
-Kinney continues to be a hindrance

Guess you missed those 4th down stops and the plays in OT because you were too busy b*tching about the Buffs' poor play. Style point don't count or the Buffs would have won five games more last year.

Enjoy the win, there's always room for improvement, ask Bama or U$C!.

That illegal pick was obvious to us all from the opposite end zone a hundred yards away! And what a joke on the ball placement call.

Nice to have a "bye" week next week to work on things and rest the injured and starters.

Good:
Win
Team played with grit and heart - won a game they would've lost last year
Offense finally showed some big play ability (Sefo actually hit a few deep passes, we finally saw the speed we have at WR)
Defense made some big time, game changing plays
Outscored the lammies 27-10 after the disastrous first quarter

Bad:
Special teams blew chunks again, with the exception of Diego

Ugly:
The disastrous first quarter...ugh
D gave up too many big plays and were completely dominated by their OL
Refs sucked big time...again

Good: MacIntyre told the fans before the season that CU would turn some of these close losses into close wins. He delivered.

Bad: CSU had more passing and rushing yards. Their o-line and d-linemen were more physical.

Ugly: CU student clearly seen on TV wearing teletubby outfit in a sea of white. What a dork.

Watching replay, the "illegal pick" was less flagrant than I thought at the game. The pass would've been completed regardless.

The Good: Sefo's deep balls were impressive mostly. Diego shook off the failed kick and won in OT, Crawley had a very good game, the turnovers

The bad: Out coached, our running game (2 injuries didn't help), linebackers were invisible, if we were blitzing, it was not evident or poorly timed.

The ugly: Opening kick return, kick at the end of regulation, the D line put zero pressure on Stevens, tackling on initial contact

Good:
Sefo went a game without a INT and threw some great deep balls
D still forcing turnovers. I think we have doubled our total from last year already
Kicking game made the FG when it counted most

Bad:
Sefo missed many open people last night. Not just the deep overthrow but wide open guys that he never threw the ball to because he still locks onto his first read. Our special teams are still turrible. O line still making lots of bad plays.

Ugly:
On D our tackling is garbage. The D line was abused by CSU and CSU got yards after first contact all night long.

Agree with all of this. The number of times we hit their running back behind the line of scrimmage only to see him bounce off and gain 4 - 6 yards was painful.

In the bad area I would also add play calling by lindgren. In the 4th quarter we had to many series that went:

CP for 2
CP for 2
Pass incomplete

I know it would have been alright had Adkins been healthy, but that was bad.

Didn't Mac promise that, because we are bigger and stronger, we will be taking runners down on initial contact? I think he promised that.

Adding to the above:

Good:
Depth. We had a pile of injuries before and during the game that, in the past, would have cost us the result had some depth (Gamboa, Walker, L. Jackson, others) not showed up.
Opportunistic defense. We didn't get any sacks, but IMO QB pressure resulted in both picks. The new defensive formula is to not care about the yardage, but to be really good at creating turnovers and stiffening the the red zone. We stopped the 4th down at a crucial moment, and we forced a few FG attempts when it seemed like CSU was rolling.
Sefo. Stepped up in every way. Only looked lost a few times.

Bad:
Special teams.
Tackling.
Injuries to RBs. We had three down by the end of the game. I'd consider pulling the redshirt on Dino Gordon if we're not healthier this week.

Ugly:
The average heart and liver condition of Buff Nation.

Good:
Came back from lots of adversity
Won turnovers
Won the game!

Bad:
Special teams

Ugly:
Gave up 500 yards

Good-
-Hitting the long ball. Will open up the run game when we have healthy backs and Kronshage gets more comfortable.
-Won a close game we probably should not have won if you just looked at box score alone.
-Diego has been better than expected
-Awuzie and Thompson are the best. Crawley is improving.
-Spruce is clutch and REC corp looks solid
The Bad
-Run game was disappointing
-Injuries have not helped
-OL had difficulties
The Ugly
-ST coverage
-Witherspoon. Awuzie should cover best guy. Not Walker or Witherspoon.

yardage doesn't matter if you lose. We found that out often last year. Sure they gave up 500yds, but they kept the lambs out of the endzone. That is the only stat that truly matters.

GOOD - Won the game after being down 14 early. Secondary played well

Bad- rush defense, TACKLING. We had guys stopped 6 times behind los and blew the tackle.

Ugly. Zero pass rush and rarely saw a blitz package.Leavitt has to find a way to get pressure.pac 12 qb's will shred us. Also, offense has been awful when they can take control. Bad in second half of hawaii game also.

I'm not even sure that guy is a student. He looks like he's 27 years old.
