I remember seeing him as having a load of talent. I wondered why he was never able to step forward and become a factor, this explains it.

Also shows how people can be functioning addicts and hide it when we aren't looking for it or choose to ignore the signs (not saying that happened here, lot's of people missed seeing his problem) while they continue to slide towards failure in life.

Hope he can win this battle. It would be good if he could eventually get past the school district order and get back to coaching kids while being an example of someone who has gone through this and overcome it.

Me too. Kind of explains a lot as well in terms of him never earning the PT we thought he would (beyond D2 nepotism). In the article Nick stated he just hoped the coach wouldn't give him PT.

That's an amazing story. Glad to see him on the right path.

Saddleback Church, which he mentioned, is an amazing place for anyone near it in Southern California. It was the closest place for me to finding god in a church.
