Fran's overall record isn't very impressive.

And there is no way in hell Saban reaches 100 wins this year.

Fran's record is not impressive because he likes to rebuild programs. When he took the job at UNM, they were lucky to win 2 or 3 games per season and most of the wins came against NAU.

Fran is kind of a mystery, he did win 10 games at Bama. he turned around moribund NMU and TCU and lost some games int he process....but, with Texas talent (top 20 classes) and getting asswaxed by Cal in the Holiday Bowl, he's got to feel a little heat. and no pansy OOC schedule this year to pad the schedule. beating Texas bought him some time, but not much else. they lost to a beatable OU team (12 men on the field, after Fran doesn't go for the W....that riled the Aggies), Missouri, and Nebraska at almighty Kyle last year. i think the MU game was at Kyle.

kinda surprised Jeff Bower from Southern Miss never got a look if he's been coaching long enough to have a "tie" on his resume.

Very true, although you forgot about perhaps the most galling loss for A&M fans last year-Texas Tech (in College Station no less). Finishing 3rd or 4th in the South year in and year out has to be getting tiresome.

And the question about Bower is a good one. It seems like he should be at a bigger school right now, especially with all the turnover in coaches Ole Miss and MSU have had.
