Carlon Brown signs with the Golden State Warriors

i think Carlon has a very good shot to make the NBADL and a punchers chance to make the NBA, although i think if it were up to me, i'd rather play in Europe over D-league if that is an option for him.

So stoked! We need as many Buffs in the NBA as possible! We have 4 currently on Rosters: Alec Burks (Utah), Chauncey Billups (Los Angeles), Chris Copeland (New York) and Carlon Brown (Golden State). All those young recruits will look at that and be hyped. Hopefully Tad will be able to send a few more over the next couple years like Roberson, Dinwiddie, Scott and Johnson. It will only help us keep landing big time recruits.

Brandon Rush is out for the season with a torn ACL. I wonder if Carlon gets a call, even if only for a ten-day contract?

He was one of the last 4 cut so he could certainly get a call, I don't think 10 game contracts start until after the first of the year though. I think the least they can offer is a partially guaranteed season contract right now.

I also don't see him on the list of d-league players right now, so maybe he is still trying to figure out his next move.

hope Carlon sticks on an NBA roster. he led the Israeli league in scoring last year, which is a decent league, so i'd say he probably has some lucrative options overseas. i don't see him playing D-League again.

Is the Greek league still among the best? That might be old info in my brain.

Greece, Italy and Spain although Germany has he only economically viable model here. But Olympiakos is one of the very best clubs in Europe, Euroleague winners in 2012+2013.

Watched his game yesterday. He is playing a lot of point guard. He looks good. Should be able to get a job in the NBA or overseas.

Easy to root for this guy. Hope he does well.

Does he have a real shot to make the nugz roster this year?
There is no way he'll make the Nuggets. Gary Harris SG and Erick Green PG are Nugget draft picks from the last 2 years that will fill out the roster. He's there to show other teams that he can play.

Unless there is some massive trade no chance for Brown with Nuggets...hopefully he makes an impression...there are 22 teams in Vegas.

The Nugs are playing him...but featuring QMiller, Harris and Green so shots are rough to come by early on

Some news on him. He signed with the eventual German champions Bamberg (think they´ve won like 4 or 5 of the last 6) last fall after having offers from all across Europe, but injured his meniscus after like 3 games and was sidelined for the rest of the season. Switched to Ulm this summer and made his comeback in a 54-74 point loss yesterday. Played 24 minutes and had 8 points on 1-8 shooting with 6 rebounds. People who watched the game seem to think he likes iso plays a little too much.

Sounds like Carlon. Hopefully he can settle down a little bit and let his game come to him. He was always at his best when he didn't try to force things.

Carlon is a ball stopper. He has reached a level of competition where he's not good enough to be that. In fact, there are only a handful of guys in the NBA who are ball stoppers and you'd still want them on your roster.
