Three decommitments in the last two classes at positions where depth is being tested right now. Ouch.

Rodriguez is on the depth chart at UT, Hockaday and Dotson I have no idea. ER is the one that hurts IMO.

Let us all pray that we are not saying this same thing about Watts, Huntley, and Julmisse in a year or two.

Would be nice to have that TE Hobbs too. Too bad we couldn't win enough to keep in state guys like, ballage, kozan, McCaffrey etc..

Not only that... but we didn't replace them with a single player. Fail.

RB isn't bare Serenity? We've been playing 2 RB'S for 2 games. Not good

We started the season with four RB's and two got hurt. What are you going to do? Four backs is hardly bare. How many do you need? 7? 9?

Chance Waz is starting for Baylor now.

I think, as usual, you miss the point.
Got to go with FLounder. I think you are overblowing the point. Hockaday would not have seen the field and I think the staff thinks Watanbe needs another year of healing to get where he has to but he should be better than Gamboa or Severson. Dotson doesn't appear to be as good as Carr as a 2nd year guy. Dino Gordon could be used but the staff would rather not have to burn his RS (smart and something Embree/Hawkins failed at/had to do due to talent).
.
We have reached on enough guys. Look at a ton of guys that sit and have scholarships from the Embree-MacIntyre transition. They didn't have the talent.

Elijah Rodriguez is the big loss and we tried to replace him with a kid that got in trouble off the field in the dorms in that Valor kid. We also have not been able to get that already 300 lb Tackle prospect but instead have to get that 260-270 lb kid that needs to add weight to their 6'-5" height. That is nothing new at CU or in many colleges other than the SEC/South that have those home grown kids.

He's played in two games so far for Vandy, let's not get carried away. Unless you count one tackle against Austin Peay as a significant contribution, I suppose.
Austin Peay? Is that Waldo's soda franchise down on 6th Street?

The point of this thread is that most of our depth issues are self-inflicted.
I'm unfamiliar with recruiting history of Rodriguez and Dotson, but is it really self-inflicted, when a recruit de-commits because his dream school offered in the 11th hour, or is that an unfortunate situation for a downtrodden program?

Yeah it is hard to blame the coaches for the Rodriguez situation. Kept him despite the LSU and FSU offers but there was only one program he would decommit for.

I was talking about Hockaday and Vandy, but it sounds like Rodriguez had a similar situation.
