How is it possible?

To only be able to run one play with 41 seconds left in the half when you have first down and are in the red zone? I'm not an expert on time, so maybe that is why I don't understand. But this doesn't make sense to me

I don't get how you don't take a shot to the end zone with 9 seconds left and if it's not there throw it away. Should only take 6 seconds max for a scoring opportunity.
Thought the same thing. Wazzu did against Oregon to tie it up (granted they needed a TD). Playing way too conservative for a team with literally nothing to lose

I thought it was the right call at the time compared to what we saw in the first half. However, we have major issues in other areas.

It was a weird sequence. We were shot of a first down and called a time out, it looked like. Then there was a penalty which negated the time out. All I can figure is Sefo thought the clock was stopped then looked up and saw it ticking. He got flustered, what's knew, and looked over to the bench all dazed and confused. They did the proper thing kicking the FG with no time outs left. They had no confidence in Sefo's ability to avoid a sack.

This goes back to the comment that Yogi Roth made-Sefo hasn't practiced much over the last couple weeks, if at all (since the shoulder injury). Another thing to knock the coaches on-if he's not healthy enough to practice, then he shouldn't play. We're self-inflicting issues on ourselves by sending him out there after the others have worked with Apsay, Gehrke, or some combination of the two during the week and then Sefo on saturday.

You could see it on tv that mac went to the official to ask if the clock would start after they set the ball. Then switch to the field and the offense was in a soft huddle looking at the sideline and not ready on the ball. Mac exploded I'm guessing at Lindgren on the headphones. It looked like it was the offensive coaches who weren't ready.

MM said at half that we called timeout because we couldn't get lined up properly-the clock should not have been running (ASU was called for roughing the passer the play before).

You know what teams have issues with bad clock management? Bad teams with bad coaching staffs.

At this level it is inexcusable. This isn't HS ball and we have a 3 year starter at QB.

Wazzou ran a 2 minute drill at Autzen and despite the refs ran it very well. And many think the pirate is a fraud.
