Good luck to the Buffs.

With the Halloween weekend promotions, looks like some fun matches for folks to attend, esp. for anyone with smaller children.

Appears almost EVERY weekend the rest of the year needs to be a good one for the Buffs, but it definitely starts this weekend where the Buffs need to protect their home court in their quest to earn the somewhere from 6-8 wins they probably need out of their final 10 conference matches to earn an NCAA tournament berth. (With 3 out of those 10 remaining matches being on the road against Top 10 teams, winning almost if not ALL of the 6 remaining home matches are KEY unless they earn enough "GREAT" wins against those Top 15 or so opponents to overcome the slight RPI "hill" (#63) they are facing right now.)

Buffs get the 1st set 25-18.

Great offensive distribution with 6 players with 2 or more kills helping lead to a great .341 overall hitting %. Keep it up Buffs!

Buffs fell behind 2-3 points, but have gone on a small run to take a narrow 18-17 lead in the 2nd.

OSU with some great defense at game point get the 2nd set 25-23. Sets now tied at 1.

Buffs get the 3rd set 25-18 to take a 2-1 lead.

Per the announcers, a BIG CONGRATS is due to Alexis Austin, who just set the CU record for most career kills in the rally scoring era!

Ugh- Buffs have a 21-16 lead in the 4th but give up a bad service run and lose it 23-25. Going to the always unpredictable 5th set.

Was a bit concerned they were going to let that one get away.

I watched the interviews after the match and one of the players mentioned a staff change this week and started to cry. Anybody know anything about that?

Congratulations to Alexis on setting the all time kill record!

I was wondering what happened when they announced the coaches at the start of the match. The announcer did not mention asst coach Ryal Jagd. I thought they made a mistake. Was he was out of town recruiting since signing day is coming up? He was definitely not on the sideline tonight. Then I watched the post game interview and when it was brought up on how the past week was challenging for the team, I thought whoa. What happened to cause an asst coach to leave midseason without any public statements. It was left out of the post game quotes. Kritza was quick to move on to the next question. That can't be good.

Jagd was an excellent coach, imo. Yes, Kritzka definitely moved on after the player started to cry. So I didn't hear wrong.

This can not be good for the team. Coaches don't leave jobs in the middle of the season unless there was a family emergency, which I think would have been stated at the presser.
