The Buffs try to get a HIGH quality victory tomorrow (Friday) night on the road against the #2 Trojans, who the Buffs took to 5 sets in Boulder a few weeks ago. (The Trojans lost their #1 ranking after suffering their 1st loss of the year last weekend against a tough (especially at home) #5 Washington squad in Seattle.)

Live video - on Pac 12 networks (Mountain and Los Angeles channels), and also available online at http://pac-12.com/live?network=P12LAX for those whose cable/ satellite subscription includes Pac 12 Network online access.

Match does not start until 10 PM my time. Match is on Pac 12 National during the night and I'm recording it.

After the way the team has been playing since the assistant coach issue, I am not holding out great hopes of an upset. USC is not going to be happy about that loss to Washington and we do not play as well on the road as we do in Boulder.

Do we know anything about the assistant coach issue? It seems to me that Ryal Jagd was an awesome coach. Is it likely he could come back? I don't think I've seen anything that comments on why he is gone.

Just got home, and it looks like the Buffs haven't been able to put up much of a fight so far tonight, having lost the 1st 2 sets 25-12, 25-14,

Nice job by the Buffs in game 3, as they come back from a 15-18 deficit and win it 27-25.

USC still leads, 2 sets to 1.

Not to look too far ahead, but this program is on the rise. Great players! Great coach in Coach Kritza!!

Lead down to 21-19. TO CU with S. Bricio (probably best serve in the country) still on the service line.

USC gets the 4th 25-23 and therefore the match. Still a good character comeback/ fighting effort by the Buffs, especially given how ugly the 1st 2 sets sound based on the scores.

IMO, the team has not played as well since he has been gone.

This is what was in the Daily Camera after the Oregon match:

CU associate athletic director Ceal Barry confirmed that volleyball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Ryal Jagd has been placed on administrative leave indefinitely. Barry did not divulge further details. Jagd, in his fourth season with the program and his second as a full-time assistant, was not on the bench for either of CU's matches this weekend.
