Last ever game from Folsom for him today. He´ll make one final appearance in the booth in SLC, but today´s it for him at Folsom.

Truly the voice of the Buffs. Mr Larry Zimmer Thank YOU ! for all you have done for CU athletics, YOU will be missed greatly. Hope the BUFFS can send you out with a win tonight.

Bob Martin, Larry Zimmer, Dick Conner.....slowly, the voices and words of my youth are fading away.

Never forget the call when Ben Kelly returned the punt against Wyoming or the Miracle in Michigan. Very awesome. Congrats on his career.

Actually I think I'm wrong, it was a kick return against Wyoming right? Not that it matters, just wondered. Believe it was 97 or 98.

Thank you Zim! You will be missed.

It's terrible that we were never able to right ship before he retired.

His voice will always take me directly back to my childhood. Riding in the car with my dad after my football games or out and about. I can still here the calls about Ben Kelly taking one to the house, Salaam breaking off another huge run, and of course the Miracle. Thank you Zim you will forever be in my heart and the heart of the Buff's faithful!

DBT...I was thinking the same thing. I will always remember Zimmer and Martin doing the Buff and Bronco games....listening on the radio. When Keith Jackson finally retired....a big part of College football died. There is no one that will ever match Jackson's personna.... Zimmer is another ICON. He will be missed and a link to the past will longer be in the booth. Go Buffs and win out and go to a bowl game!!!

It's been so great that he was able to return this season and go out the right way.

What? Did he get lost leaving Balch last game?

sorry - I will definitely miss listening to Zim. He was the voice of the Buffs for so long!

Farewell ZIm, you will be missed, Buff broadcasts won't be the same. One of kind, in my book.

So long Larry, all the best in retirement and thank you for all that you have done for the Buffs and CU.

Definitely a dying breed of radio sportscasters. Listening to Zim in my childhood for Broncos games and Buffs games were awesome and didn't know what a special talent he was until recently. Win it for Zim!

Nothing is worse than dying bread...

Thank you Larry Zimmer for all the years of great broadcasting. A Buff through and through.

Thank you Larry Zimmer! I'm a big believer in the importance of the voices of sports, and nobody is more iconic in my football experience than Zim. It's been a pleasure hearing him call the Buffs through good times and bad. A unique voice, no question. Thanks Larry, regardless of what happens tonight I hope the Buffs can deliver more good times in the future and what a run it has been.

I have very warm feelings when I think of his voice on my car radio as I drove around on Saturday afternoons in the fall, taking my kids here and there, etc.
He's right up there with Vin Sculley for me. Soothing, satisfying, comforting, competent, not too much, not too little, hard to put it into words

anyone know of a way to reach out to Zim and give a personal thank you after all is said and done? is KOA accepting letters or anything like that? Zim clearly isn't the social media type (assuming)

You could probably find is address if you spent enough time on Google and know where to look. One you have his address you can go to his house and wait for him until he gets back from the game. Maybe wait in his living room if it's chilly ouside. Make a snack while you're there. Try on his clothes. Take a little power nap in his bed.
