#1 Les Miles, LSU
#2 Darrell Hazell, Purdue
#3 Mike MacIntyre, Colorado
#4 Charlie Strong, Texas
#5 Steve Addazio, Boston College
#6 Kevin Wilson, Indiana (I don't get this one)
#7 Kyle Flood, Rutgers
#8 Gus Malzahn, Auburn (Gus will get next year to turn it around)
#9 Mike London, Virginia (at this point, I assume he's got incriminating photos of the UVA Prez - so safe)
#10 Paul Haynes, Kent State

Outside that Top 10, there are a couple names I think should be higher and may very well get fired:

#15 Mark Richt, Georgia
#21 Tim DeRuyter, Fresno State

I think that site picks the coaches with a dart board. But opinions are interesting.

I doubt that Gary Anderson is in trouble nor Kevin Sumlin at A&M.

Recall his name came up during the last CU search: #21 Tim DeRuyter, Fresno State

Yeah. I liked him. Resume was solid. Something to watch out for is a coach who is a "hot" name based on inheriting a great QB.

Not counting Les, Anyone on that board that is the top 15 an upgrade for us?
Ability, recruiting, name recognition?

DeRuyter was a temporary hot flash for some CU fans because of the beat down at FSU. As you say, inheriting a great QB will make most any coach look great for awhile. Same for getting lucky with a Juco QB recruit.

How would SEC guy translate into the PAC12? Probably not many west coast recruiting connections?
Well, CU's most recent recruiting successes have been in the SEC footprint... I don't know if it's sustainable to rely on recruiting FL, GA and LA kids to CO, but just getting talented athletes, no matter where they're from, is priority #1.

Very true. Just seems he has never coached or been out of SEC country, not saying he would be a bad choice. Just a question.
I don't know that much about him.
He coached at Okie Lite before going to LSU. He coached at CU. He coached at Michigan.

After looking at Gus record, It seems he inherited a pretty good team and has dropped ever since, 12-2, 8-5, 6-5. what makes him an upgrade, if he couldn't keep Auburn rolling? Don't know him or his style, just asking.

Man, I was pretty hot after DeRuyter a few years back.... amazing what a NFL caliber QB does for a coach

What I don't understand is how Flood is so low on that list. The guy has NOT been successful, his team is out of control off the field, and the guy was caught trying to cheat academically. And yet he's in more trouble than Kevin Wilson?

Think he's talking about Malzahn, not Miles.

Oh. Gus is a big question mark. Definitely won with someone else's players. At Arkansas State, he chose a spot where the team had been successful and he was inheriting a good senior QB. I also am starting to wonder if his offense caught the SEC by surprise in 2013 and isn't all that special any more.

Well his recruiting classes were ranked as 13, 8, and 3rd in his three years and his team is getting worse. Interesting. Used the NC and the Auburn name to get the kids in but cant coach them up? Plus it sounds like he inherited 2 good teams. Hasn't proven he can do it on his own.

Have you seen the nightmare of an AD they have at Rutgers? She seems to make Flood look like an upstanding citizen in comparison. What a nightmare of an athletic department they have at Rutgers.

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I would think that Strong should be at the top of this list. Some bad losses this year including a shutout to a team who let their coach go.

Add in the whacko attitude in Austin and the hot seat for CS has to be the size of San Antone.
