Ralphie in Tempe

Unleash Hell

Well-Known Member
Mike Bohn just confirmed that Ralphie will be making the trip to Tempe when the Buffs play Arizona State.

Last year the buffs outplayed and beat Georgia for 3 3/4 quarters when Ralphie made the trip, hopefully it's a good omen and the buffs finish this time.

The entire band and Ralphie.

We are going to shock some people with how many CU fans are going to show up at that game. It's going to be a fun weekend and hopefully will be CU's 2nd win of the season!

:gobuffs:

I wanna go!!!!!!!

I'm anxiously waiting for those 3 lovely and spine tingling words......

"Heeeeeeeeere comes Ralphie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You had to go and say that...now that's all I have in my head.

I am not travelling to the game this year (taking the kids to DisneyWorld) - but will be sneaking out of my hotel room and catching a cab to the nearest bar that will be televising the game that night.

Ralphie in Atlanta was hilarious. It was all anyone wanted to talk about - and the crowd she drew outside of the CU Tailgater was unbelievable. On her first run, I was holding some Georgia kids up so they could see her over the crowd. I swear that about 80K+ of those people may have never seen a live Buffalo before in their lives...

Amen, 2-0 heading into a prime time nationally televised game against Florida St would be a good setup for CU to make a statement that they are on their way back.

Ok lets just worry about beating CSU first, but I do think the first two games are very winnable to set that up like that wth FSU.

We're taking the whole band, too? Damn. That will be a lot of folks down there. How many tickets have we been allocated? From what I can gather, we've just about sold out our allotment already.

Definitely looking forward to this game. Good crowd, good football. Good tailgating. Good times.

If by some miracle I am able to make this game, who's hotel floor can I crash on? :smile2:

We'll swing by your place on the way down and pick you up. You can crash in our car. You'll love it.

Screw that going to Tempe to watch the Buffs...who's coming Waco to watch the Baylor game?

Wacko-waco. I'm down for that. I need to get the taste out of my mouth from season's OT loss. Still makes me sick to my stomach. Ditto from 2003.

Yeah, there is absolutely no way their winning streak over us should reach 3.

I've thought about it. Seriously.

But it's freaking Waco.

I got transfered to Dallas a month ago so I have to go to that game. What sucks is my transfer destination was between Dallas and Phoenix. I would have rather had Phoenix.

Yeah, Waco is a pretty short drive from DFW so I'm sure I will end up going as well. I think lb and I are planning on going to Lubbock for the Sand Aggy game as well. It don't get much better than Waco and Lubbock.:smile2:

they have a ton of locations all over Fl. i used to drive 45 minutes to the Jenson Beach Ale House for the CU games when i lived in Vero Beach. never had a problem getting them to put the CU game on a TV for me.

very good food and a boat load of tv's. the ossobuco is very good.

i bought tickets to the asu game for myself, my wife, our friend who just moved to phoenix and her roommate, who i found out is from nebraska. i got to meet him a few weekends ago, and he is pretty cool, but still it is a little odd. he told me that he always wanted to go to a game in boulder, but is scared of what our fans would do to him. he has heard all of the rumors (and i am sure some truths), and told me all about it. in any case he has offered us a free place to stay and to take us around the town, but with all that being said, he still cannot wear red, and i will have a nice CU shirt for him to wear.

nice! A fusker in black and gold. Make sure you take plenty of pics for blackmail purposes. :smile2:

Wasn't Ralphie IV retired at the end of last season? Awesome.

but if you are staying on Disney property then go to
'Disney's Boardwalk Resort' as there is an ESPN Zone
there. You may need to make sure they will stay open past
1 a.m. since the game doesn't even start till after
10 p.m. on the east coast.

This year is going to be a transition period. They have Ralphie V right now but she is really hard to train.
Ralphie IV was saved from the clutches of a wolf when she was still a calf and raised by humans who nursed her after the herd shunned her away. So the training was easy. But Ralphie V has been picked out of the herd and so she's a lot more feisty and irate. It's gonna take some time before she's even close to being ready.

They should take that irate Ralphie V and have her knock that pussy CAM the Ram into the stands at Invesco.

Then they are not looking hard enough becuase there is a Buffalo herd in Gainesville, Fla.

Awesome, so V will be like Ralphie III.

Thanks for the advice. I will look it up and make sure I get there...I reckon I will be the only Colorado fan there that night but I am sure I can make a lot of friends.

Unfortunately - we don't check in until the next day or that would be where I would go. We are seeing Sea World on Saturday and then "hungover but happy" dad will be checking in the next morning.

I recall her being very fast compared to IV. She'd drag the runners around the field.

I love watching Ralphie do something unexpected...especially when it is chasing the other team off of the sideline when they come out too early.
