CSU Pre-Game Thread

Really want payback for last year's loss. Need to see better defense by the guards and wings, and limit turnovers. I'd expect Josh to be doubled so finding the open man and hitting the outside shot will be key.

I expect Josh to have a hell of a game. His performance last year was awful (back issues being the likely cause)... but yea, I am sure he wants this one.

CSU turns their roster over so much year to year, I know Gillon killed us last year. Looks like Clavell is their leading scorer and Scott who is 2nd, suffered an injury in their last game. Looks like they have almost no bench depth. Need to get their starters in foul trouble, but harder to do on the road.

They're bad defensively right now. We've gotta play Tadball and it'll play right into our hands. Gonna be a hard one though - they're better than many (myself included) expected them to be.

CSU will do what they normally do... pack the defense down to force the Buffs to win from the perimeter. If our squad can shoot under pressure at what should be a nuts arena in Ft. Collins, the Buffs will win. Turnovers is my other concern. Need to value the basketball on this trip.

Right now, CSU is the 11th worst team in the nation at forcing turnovers. Is that because they suck at it or are they going Tad-style where they prefer to just play D straight up?

Here's the real question: what the **** is ROOT and how do I get it on my TV/computer?

"Sorry, but your zip code is outside of the ROOT SPORTS network territory. Please contact your provider regarding potential availability via out-of-market sports packages."

LBSU is going into Moby fairly battle-tested, from the looks of their schedule.

vs BRI W 91-57
vs BYU W 66-65
vs HALL W 80-77
vs 6 UVA L 87-52
vs OKST L 82-77
@ OKST L 79-73
vs SDSU 12/1
@ CSU 12/3

Other than UVA, they're competitive against some P5 teams. Played Okie Light twice in five days, in a odd schedule that included the Charleston tourney.

Long Beach State schedules like no team I've ever seen. And they get some players. That program's no joke.

Hopefully they take the Rammies into 6 overtimes; lose, and CSU is fully wrecked for our game on Sunday.

I will be there with a group of three. Not sure what bar we are headed to before though.
Neither are we. Going up Saturday night to hangout with some friends from the school up North. That noon start kinda sucks. Wish it was more around 3, but hey be done for the broncos game.

This is the first cu-csu bball game I'll miss since 08 :(.

I'll be watching from Austin, Austin, Massachusetts

I have heard Road 34 is a good bar, or Fuzzy taco. Lots of Beer, close to the stadium.

Yeah fuzzys has good drinks. Went to the one in Tempe for the asu game and the guy used to work at the one in Foco and he gave us a bunch of free drinks.

Um, isn't there a "game" between now and Sunday? I know, it's more like a scrimmage, but still.

Someone feeding your snake while you're gone?
Now I know what Goose looks like!

Anyone have any parking tips for up there? Do they have he equivalent of the Horse where you can park, eat/drink and walk over to the arena?

A) There is no equivalent to the Horse
B) Road 34 just west of campus is a decent spot to pre-game, you can park around there and walk over.
