McCaffrey just tied Barry Sanders' NCAA record for the most all-purpose yards in a season.

Dude is a stud. He's not hurting his chances tonight. Sucks that we face him for another two years.

Edit...didn't look at the schedule prior to posting this.

McCaffery should win it, but won't. Either him or Watson. Henry is great, but that Bama OL deserves it more than him imo.

It's crazy that sanders did that in 11 games btw. Unreal and people should put that into consideration when you think of U breakable records. Hot damn.

I think several guys have a valid case and there's no clear favorite. I'd guess Watson, Henry and McCaffrey will be in NY.

Sanders had more touches than McCaffrey for his record.

Haha good old Barry run in for negative plays I'd imagine. Freaking impressive for both guys.

Not really sure who is the best this year. Henry or McCaffrey are both equally as good, IMO.

Love McCaffrey and have had the discussion about Barry in the pros more than enough times but as good as McCaffrey is he doesn't come close to what Barry was in college.

Barry did have more touches, his team was completely dependent on him. This Stanford team has other options, that Okie Lite team was going exactly as far as Barry carried them and every opponent knew it. McCaffrey has a better O-Line and Barry played against defenses that were much more focused on stopping running backs.

Not sure if Barry ever had a good Oline. College or pros.

He had some decent ones in the pros, certainly never a "great" one. He also never had offensive teammates who could take the pressure off him

Yeah. Never had anything near this Stanford oline, that is for sure.

And Hogan is no star but if team want to focus on McCaffrey he will make them pay. He also has a backup (Barry jr) who can give him a rest without the offense dying off and some decent recievers.

Lot of east media members missing McCaffrey completely dominate this game. Although Hogan and the o like deserve a lot of credit for that last TD.

After this game, McCaffrey is my choice for heisman.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Baker Mayfield in this thread. He deserves it more than Watson IMO.

Mayfield
Watson
Henry
McCaffrey
FSU Cook

Will probably be the top five

He is just a beast. Kid can do it all and very well. I know his ties to stanford, just would have loved to see him and ballage in black and gold.Congrats to him.

If McCaffrey played for Alabama, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.

I agree. The guys who did the broadcast last night said that it was the first time they'd seen McCaffrey play and it gave them something to think about. Too many night games for the Pac-12. Most of the country didn't didn't see his games. Probably Notre Dame game where Hoke had his best game and looked like a star and then last night when Furd-USC was the least important of the 3 games that were on at the same time while Bama had a time slot all to itself for the SEC championship game.

I know Henry is really good, but behind Bama's OL who wouldn't look good? What McCaffrey has done as RB, WR and on ST, he is the most versatile and exciting player in years. How could you break Sanders' record and not win the Heisman?

Not just that. He's at over 3,400 yards this year and 2nd place is under 2,500 yards. His season was unreal.

And in what was IMHO one of the two best conferences in the country this year (along with the B1G).

Do they still break down the voting by region? I expect McCaffrey's case to be disproportionately strong in the west.

And ****ty in the east because, you know, in the east, the west is only for vacationing.
