I know that tonight will tell us a lot about how we match up with better quality competition.

Coming into conference play at 12-1 or 11-2 exceeds most of the expectations I saw before we started.

At this point how many win do we get in conference. I think most of us would expect better than .500 (9-9) but how much better, 12 wins, 14?

I'd say we need to get to 22 wins. How's that? So, if we lose tonight, we would need to win 11. Remember, we get at least 1 in the Pac tourney. So, I'd say we need to go 10-8 in conference. At least.

12-6 Overall

Have to protect homecourt.

Good play away from home so far, I'll need to see that hold up before predicting great things. The good news is we seem capable of winning any game, so some tough challenges may come down to the last shot.

Guessing 11-7 but not confident either way, could be significantly better or slightly worse. I definitely don't see a collapse, barring injuries.

Agree on the bold. 10-8 and 1 win in the conference tourney should get us dancing, although we'd be sweating it on selection day.

I think the Buffs can get 12 wins. It'd be nice if they can finally get in the top 4 and have the first round bye.

With coaching blunders like last night (benching our best guard in Fortune ) right after he gets hot , it won't get us very far. If anyone knows basketball, that was an atrocious coaching decision.

I'm perhaps being overly optimistic based on what I've seen this year. I think 12-6 is entirely possible, maybe even 13-5. AZ aren't world beaters this year. Utah has regressed from their zenith of a year ago, I'm not sold on USC or ASU, either.

I don't know that any Pac-12 team will go 13-5 this year. That's a number that should get the #1 seed. I'm thinking a bunch of teams at 9-12 wins with tiebreakers coming into play for tourney seeding.

The road will tell the tale.

Fair enough. Like I said I'm perhaps being overly optimistic. What I've seen out of this team impresses me, though. Solid senior leadership, good front court, good PG play, decent depth, and the ability to go crazy from outside.

The problem is that there are not 4-5 teams to beat up on in conference play this season. Other than Wazzu and maybe Stanford, I don't see a team that CU can have a subpar performance against and expect a W. We all know there will be a few of those. I wouldn't be surprised to see 13-5 win the conference outright or 12-6 get a share this season. 13-5 probably gets a 4 seed in the dance, 12-6 probably a 5. That's a tall order.

It looks like this may be a 6 or 7 bid conference this year depending on how it all shakes out. After last season, I'll be happy with about any seed.

I think this is shaping up to be the kind of season we all expected two years ago before the Mayor got hurt.

I hope you're right. Ranked the back half of the season and a Sweet 16 run wouldn't suck at all.

Like I've said, making the Dance is one thing, and a great thing, but I'd sure like to be a 5ish seed and not an 11ish. To do that, we need to go12-6 and be a finalist in the Pac 12 tourney, I'd think.

I voted for "10-11 wins" in the poll, but I just went through the schedule game by game and saw 12 wins. May god have mercy on my soul. They'll probably lose at least one game they should win because that's how sports work, but they might also pick off a win where I'm not expecting it.

I'll believe we beat Arizona when I see it. Especially with Pac 12 officiating.
