Ty Gangi Transferring

Buffzone is resorting to total clickbait headlines now. Why not just say, "Buffs field gold holder to transfer" instead of
"CU Buffs football team loses player expected for key role"?

My bet is that we will have another coaches son on the 1-deep.

I think Neinas prefers a punter to be the holder. Not only is that a guy who is used to handling long snaps, but practice schedules align so that he's more available than someone like Gehrke would be as the QB2.

In the spring, we didn't have our punter since Kinney was finishing high school.

All that said, there is a possibility that Kinney wins the kicker as well as the punter job in fall camp. There is also the question of how much responsibility you want to put on a true freshman.

MacIntyre would be a pretty good option. Great hands and he played QB in high school. Pretty much everything you look for in a holder other than practice time availability since he'll be the Slot WR 1 or 2.

Can't fault him. Football players want to play and he isn't likely to get that opportunity as a QB with CU. He gave it a solid try and got a chance to see how he matches up at QB at this level.

Being a placeholder isn't hard if you have good hands, I did it 4 years in hs and 1 in college. You work on it in practice, it's simple in the game you don't even think about it.

Well if you can do it. . .

Only takes one screw up though to make you wish you had a better one.

Ty has committed to Nevada as a mid-year signee after having a really good year at Ventura CC.
He will partake in Spring ball and has 3 to play 3.
At VCC, he threw for 2,288 yards and 21 touchdowns with just six interceptions in 2015.

Good for him. I hope he succeeds with the wolfpack.

Cool. Looking forward to watching him beat CSU.
